From what I can tell, Lin didn't go to Nets for money. He went because he wanted to be key piece on a team, and he believed in what Kenny Atkinson and Sean Marks could build. He's said he wouldn't have even considered Nets if Atkinson had not been there. Sean Marks is trying to build a Spurs like organization there, and with Atknson (considered to be a great player development coach and a PG whisperer, and someone who coached him during Linsanity) Lin wanted to find out what his potential could be We'll see what they can do.
