They haven't completed the roster yet, but we know their core rotation guys now and the rest will most likely be either young guys or ring-chasers. How do you think they compare against any of LeBron's Heat teams Jordan's Bulls Magic's Lakers Bird's Celtics or any other top teams you care to bring up (Hakeem's Rockets, Kobe+Shaq Lakers, Bad Boy Pistons, any of the Spurs title teams)? There was a lot of trash talking about how last season's Warriors would not have matched up with one great team or another in history. How do they look now with Durant?
2005 Longhorns led by VY > All But I'd also like to see the Heat at their best vs this team in a 7 game series. Dat defense vs dis offense. OMG. Would be nice.
I like our 94 team in a match up... Hakeem would eat, Horry has the length and smarts to defend KD well enough, Otis is a bruiser (his lack of range could be used against us). Maxwell/Elie are hounds who can make life very uncomfortable for Klay. Kenny would get eaten alive by Steph, but we also have Cassell and his gigantic erm...penchant for big plays so Steph would have to work a little defensively. We'd have to slow down the game considerably to even make it a conversation but we'd have the best player on the floor, we'd have the most physical player on the floor, and we have the most unhinged player on the floor.
I don't think any team would have a chance 3 > 2 especially when you have 3 40+ shooters. You can take all the 2s you want you are going to lose.
They're right up there. Any 2 of Durant/Curry/Thompson pick and rolls are going to be killer. Both the screener and the ballhandler will be deadly 3 pt shooters that you can't give an inch of space to.
I love Hakeem as much as the next guy, but that 94 wouldn't beat this team in a 7 game series, bunch of homers haha. I agree with Air L: 3>2, they are the modern NBA team that takes advantage of the statistical advantage of shooting the 3 at a high clip, so most earlier teams would be at a disadvantage.
It would depend on which era's rules that you were using. The teams that you listed were built to play under a different set of rules than the current Warriors team.
Last year, Clutchfans was saying THAT Warriors team would've beaten every historical team, and they didn't even win the Championship. They might be the biggest name team of all time... but 29 other teams will be actively rooting for them to lose this year. I award them no points.
Hakeem by himself would've taken Durant the Coward, Curry, Thompson, and make a fool out of Green. His shake is better than Curry.
You mean Cavs? Because the Cavs were the best team last season, since The best team always wins the Championship. /Sarcasm.
Give Hakeem - Corey Brewer, Sam Busty Dekker, Josh SMith and someone who can make an entry pass and he would have toyed with these Warriors down low
