It's been fun, boys, but that's it. Tonight was the clearest indicator that we don't have the right pieces. I still have complete faith in Grand Master Wizard Morey, but he left a GIANT blind spot with this team. We had some fun in the middle, but unless our entire team goes to see a sports psychologist, it ain't happenin' this season.
When our 3 isn't falling, we look like a really really bad team lol. It's our ONLY threat. it shouldn't be so night and day. I knew it but didn't wanna believe it. its easy to ignore when you're living by the 3 but when u die by it it hurts
We're going to lose to teams with capable big men. This is not a shocker, we've barely squeezed by teams like that even when we were on fire in January. Not to mention we constantly blow leads if we get them early. Its the same problems that we had in the first half of the season, but now we don't have super hot three point shooting to bail us out. Problematic? I don't know. It depends on if the shooting we are seeing now is the new norm, or if coincidentally the whole team is just slumping.
Im gonna continue to have fun and enjoy this season. If yall wanna give up and tune out than thats fine. Im probably enjoying my life at the moment more than the sky is falling crowd
I'm back to the mentality of them losing every game now lol lower my expectations and blood pressure for good. the gool 'ol end of the season collapse is back
Texans are the NFL equivalent to an NBA team in a weak division fighting for playoff contention winning a crucial last game of the season (wildcard) and then getting swept in the first round. So no. Texans are not by far the best team in HTX.
We run a gimmicky offense that is different than most in the league and hard to prepare for....but in the playoffs, over 7 games it won't work. We are built to win 52-56 games in the regular season, but flame out in the playoffs. DD
Texans lost in 2nd round, astros didnt make playoffs, jury is out on the rockets this year. I predict they will win in the 1st round and the 2nd round is 50/50.
Enough of this overreaction, seriously. Rockets played like crap today, we know. When our 3 doesn't fall we suck, but I have a feeling we'll bounce back. Look at it this way. The Rockets barely lost to the 2nd best team in the league, the Spurs, a couple nights ago even though our really good bench didn't play well (Lou was 1-10, Dekker 1-5, Gordon 4-10). Today we lost to the Jazz by 7, and the blame goes to the bad threes and defense. We shot 25% today from 3. Had Rockets shot 5% better, that game would've been ours. Having Anderson would've helped a bit. Don't lose hope guys. I feel like the guys are just in a small slump right now. Once they find their stroke, this team will be back to the one we saw in December. Only question is... when will the guys find their touch?
Even when I was thoroughly enjoying the season I still had some repressed fear of what the playoffs could look like. I have a strong suspicion these last two games are previews. The sky isn't falling, but there's reason to be very cautious.
