CBS Sports' own "experts" had Dekker being drafted 16/17, yet the Rockets get a 'D' for picking him @18. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/draft/mock-draft
It is a very, very long stretch to think that Nick Johnson can start at the PG spot IMO. Even Llull is not a starting PG, and he is much more advanced than Nick.

Great pick, not sure why people are confused? Yes we have a big hole at PG, but we also have a big hole at the backup wing positions. All we have behind Harden and Ariza is free agent Brewer. What if there's a injury? What if Brewer bounces in free agency? What if we end up trading Ariza to open up space to sign a free agent like Love or Aldridge? Great pick, hope he does well.
I believe Matt Moore is making the grades, while he didn't have a mock. But why worry what they think? Some of my favorite NBA writers are there (Zach Harper, Matt Moore, Jumping James Herbert), but they're not college experts. They're only doing mocks and grades because it's their job to do so. Not knocking you, you're a great poster, but I just wouldn't put too much into their draft thoughts at all, and I love these writers.
I'm not going to get too high or low about whatever the Rox are doing at this point. Hopefully as the summer goes along, the direction of the team will be more clear.
Dekker could grow into the love child of Andrei Kirilenko and Keith Van Horn. His athleticism is very good and he's a great finisher at the rim. I can see him improving his shooting as a professional and also adding some muscle mass. He is very intelligent and a hard worker -- it is tough to not see him improving.
man, do some research before you go off on yet another of your tiresome uneducated tirades. The guy is a SF in the mold of a less awkward looking Parsons with a better shot.
The Rockets avoided Tyus Jones so thats a win. Tyus has bust written all over him. At the very least he is a long term project and the rockets do not have time for that. We are in win now mode. Decker is coming out of college as a upperclassman and ready to play much like Chandler Parsons was when he came out of Florida.
