    his 'promised' deal last year with the Astros was rumored to be ~$1.5? Correct? So he ended up getting less (although he got compensation for what happened last year from the 'Stros ).

    Yup, but the revised deal after the Aiken stuff went down was around $616k. Looks like he made the right call in passing on that offer, although one could argue what one year of development in an organization could potentially be worth.

    Hope he got enough in settlement to make up for the difference. While I don't appreciate his sour grapes comments, the whole situation was terrible luck for him.
