What's your costume? I came up with the idea for a friend of mine's party - I'm going to glue a bunch of balls to a plain outfit and my wife is making a rooster costume for herself. I feel it's brilliant in a juvenile way.
One Halloween, I met friends at a bar and they brought another friend, a black girl dressed as an 80s rapper. Months later, I met her again and had to be told she was in blackface that night--I had no idea she was white that whole Halloween. So, if you look authentic, I can't see any problem with it at all.
Off topic question but does anyone know the protocol for dress code in Midtown/Washington tonight? I know a lot of bars are having costume parties tonight and I am going to a friends costume party before we go out. My costume isn't up to normal Midtown bar dress code and I don't want to get refused at the door. I was worried since it isn't Halloween today and don't want some D-bag bouncer screwing up our night. My costume is Netflix and chill. I am wearing a red shirt that says Netflix and some pajama pants with a blanket and a tv remote as props.
most places will be costume orientated this weekend. Don't think you have to worry much at all as far as dress code.
My costume at work today (this isn't actually me): Spoiler I wrote "Texans Season Ticket Holder" at the top. It was actually a big hit even though I put about 2 minutes worth of thought into it. EDIT: Does anyone want to borrow my bag for Sunday's game?
I've always wanted to do this but never could find a decent head. Spacesuit I already have from a previous Halloween. Masks suck though, makes breathing and drinking hard.
My wife thinks my costume idea is stupid. They're made and that's what we're going as - she's just skeptical. I think they are absolutely hilarious. She says no one will get it. I don't care if anyone gets it. What gives?
