are these injuries caused by the players not being back in game condition, the field/turf not prepped properly, freak accidents, or something else? it seems like there are injuries every year, but more so the past few seasons.

Crazy how first week of the NFL season has Winston vs Mariota. Interesting things I happen to catch when I watched here & there from tonight's game. 1) QB's who played at ' Bama haven't won a single NFL game since 1988. Craziness! 2) Dalton to AJ Green have the most profile combo in NFL history for the first four years I believe.

what about in the early 2000s or the 90s? It be interesting to see the number of these injuries during those hardcore training camps to what they've become now.

I have never seen a roster turnover due to retirement, suspensions, release, coaching changes, off field problems in the history of competitive sports. Curious how the Niners will do this season?

I think I saw the same thing the Redskins saw. I've watched interviews and press conferences this week, and the press conference Rob did on Thursday he did not look like himself. No energy, lethargic, no smiling.... he looked concussed. I'm hoping Kirk Cousins struggles as well to give Rob another chance. He had no shot at being productive without our starting LT against the Lions in game 2 and in game 1 his stats should've loooked alot better then they did as Garcon dropped a 69 yd td pass. He even looked sound in the pocket, going through his reads, being patient and smart with the ball. He just needs another chance... come back soon Rob.
the redskins are seeing someone that has been cleared to go but isn't going. I think this will be the last we see of griffin jr. jr. as a Redskins player.
Cousins will fail. He is a backup QB at best. Never seen a guy walk off the field with has face down so many times in one season. Don't be fooled if he has a couple of decent box scores early on. That said, RG3 is done. The magic is gone and what's left is pretty ugly. For winning games this season, Colt McCoy is probably the best option for the Redskins. It's just a matter of time before they turn to him.
