It's funny, tho, that some of the haters here kept saying "Lin would do horrible in the NBA during the 80s and 90s when the game was so much more physical". Yet here is one of Miami's physical big-men whining about Lin being too physical...lol!
I think the alternative is to try and get a Mario Chalmers ... so basically Patrick Beverley + Mario Chalmers 48 min per game. And try to get someone who can create their own shots and shots for others at the SF position, a.k.a. a Chandler Parsons type. But that can play good defense. Basically, you cannot have 3&D at both PG and SF positions, or else we'll see Harden iso all night long. And because Harden likes to play PG, it's best we get it from the SF position. 3&D + can create shot + create for others = near max player. I think we'd be better off going that route, playing DMo at the 4, and getting a defensive 5 that can set good screens and not be a total offensive liability aka Omer Asik (but doesn't need to be an offensive dynamo).
This is why you don't judge a player solely on box score. Need to watch the games. Basketball fans should know this.
On a few of his drives, he's going in with his head down, creating contact and throwing up a wild shot expecting a foul call. Sometimes, he forces it too much.
Sounds like LOF stuff to me. Lin can do no wrong , if he does wrong then put random excuse or reasoning. Basically if Lin killed a chicken, it was the chicken's fault.
It's actually a quote from TS Elliot. The exact quote is: "Only those who risk going too far can possibly know how far one can go."
Problem is that Lin has to do it within the flow of the game. Even though he's legitimately fouled, the refs will not continue to put him on the line for the whole game. Lin should stay aggressive, but he needs to mix it up.
