Not too long ago, blueshampoo comes in gloating that Spurs, Mavs, Indiana, Bulls, Clippers, and Lakers are all showing love to Jeremy Lin and hoping he will go to one of those teams... And then feeling high and mighty over Mark Medina's tweets, tries to rub it in on the Rockets fans.... Fast forward a few days later.....Rockets have acquired Ty Lawson by giving up practically NOTHING for him while Jeremy Lin signed for 2 million a year to be a backup to Kemba Walker on a ****ty team. Please Stop By blueshampoo!!!!!! No thanks for the Jeremy Lin offer. If Rockets wanted Jeremy Lin, they could have had him for a measly 2 million *laugh*. In fact, if any team wanted him, they could have had him for 2 million. My God. I have never seen anyone get owned in one season as blueshamppo has been. He has been getting his ass kicked on a regular basis all season long. What a tool!
He was devalued because of his off court problems, not because of what he does on the court. You might want to look at his playoff numbers.
LOL @ RedEyesKirby. Also, love his gem claiming Morey was asking too much for Lin. He ended up going to Lakers for a draft pick which MOREY HAD TO GIVE UP! I guess asking for a cookie in return would also be considered asking for too much! lulz..... RedEyesKirby - Another LOF walking the walk of SHAME.
Let us just assume that there are few Lin fans (in another scenario) and what is it about Lin or what is in for you to continue to post in this thread?
The Nuggets GAINED a first round pick for Lawson. The Rockets LOST a first round pick just to get rid of Lin. Think before you speak.
That poster apc's assessment was accurate. He spoke specifically on Zboy's comment, who directly said "Rockets get Lawson for NOTHING". Its using market value to measure actual worthiness of a player (Lin, Lawson) Low market value = Low player ability To keep things consistent, it means "Acquired at Low Cost/NOTHING" is a BAD thing AGAINST any player It should have been used against Lawson if it was already used against other players.
Let me help you guys out here since you are having a difficult time. Rockets got a player that in the playoffs shoots 47.5% from the field, average 16 pts a game and gets 5:1 assists to TO ratio per game for NOTHING because of his off-the court attitude. No one questioned his impact on the court. Rockets still had to give up assets but considering none of those players were going to make an impact immediately and are question marks for the future as well, it is NOTHING. Perhaps the ESPN front page will drive the point across..... OTOH.... Jeremy Lin's current value is indicative of his performance on the court. Jeremy Lin's on court value when he was traded by the Rockets was the Rockets GIVING UP assets while dumping him. So its hilarious when someone comes gloating in here thinking that Jeremy Lin is going to one of the winning teams when he ends up being a backup for peanuts on a door mat franchise when the dust settles.....while on the other hand, the same person, who thought Rockets would not get a shot at any PG other than Jeremy Lin (who will reject them), end up with Ty Lawson without losing any of their core pieces. There was not enough iron in Iron age to make that irony up.
What kind of mental midget issues does Tinman and Zboy have??? Everyone is good with Ty and what an improvement he's going to be for the rockets in the PG spot since Stevie franchise! Lin is a good backup PG and sixth man on any team. Let it go..let it go...
Except he was not good for either of the two roles on either the Lakers or the Rockets which is why both teams..... Let him go....let him go....
LOL at RedEyesKirby He comes in trying to take a high road just to get b****slapped and walk away heads down and shoulders drooping in shame like all Lin fans Good job CF detectives and True Rockets fans!
The sinking expectations of LOFs... Went from... Superstar Linsanity (Knicks) --> Allstar (Rockets) --> Starter (Lakers) --> 6th Man (Hornets)... Logically... --> Bench Warmer (Next Stop) --> Practice Squad (Final Destination)... But until we get there... a lot ownage still left to be handed out.
Being a Texan means you're superior to the ones in California, new york, and Taiwan. They must bow down and accept your response as pure knowledge or else they deserve a lui kang fatality
The Rockets used their own 2013 first round draft pick in a trade with the T-wolves to get Dmo as part of the package. The Rockets used their own 2014 first round draft pick to select Capela. The Rockets used their own 2016 first round draft pick in a trade to get Ty Lawson. And of course, the Rockets used their own 2015 first round draft pick in a trade, to get rid of Lin.
