Lin is better than Pat Bev and Lawson at this point and probably beyond.. Lets just leave it at that.
So did you know Beverley had a similar TO in the playoff series against the Blazers? Did you know Harden had a similar TO also, except Lin scooped the ball up and assisted Troy Daniels for the game winning 3? Did you know that Lin scored 11 points in 2 OT periods in that series, the only two OT games Lin played in and he only 2 OT games the Rockets won (out of 3), 5 more than Harden, and did it efficiently? Dwight had 12 in 3 OT periods, Parsons and Beverley had none. Here's my earlier post. I will post this EVERY SINGLE TIME an uninformed, poor memory supposed Rocket fan post this **** about Jeremy Lin. ----------------------- And if you really want to talk about Lin's turnover in the Portland series. The reality was Harden also threw away a game via a critical turnover against Portland, but fortunately Lin scooped the ball back and passed it to Troy Daniels for a game winning 3. That is conveniently forgotten. And if you go back to that series against Portland, there were 3 OT games. In the 3 OT periods, the Rockets scorers (total over 3 games) were Dwight with 12, Lin 11, Troy Daniels 9, Harden 6 and Garcia 1. If Lin was a total mental midget, why would he be the 2nd leading scorer on the Rockets during 3 playoff OT periods, scoring almost double Harden's points. Despite being the 4th option on the Rockets behind Harden, Dwight and Parsons (who scored 0 points). And actually, Lin's 11 points in the OT periods were scored in only 2 games effectively, as he only played 1 second (really) in the 1st OT game, which is the only OT game the Rockets lost in the playoffs. And Beverley had a turnover with 2 seconds (ball stolen by Wesley Matthews) left in this game, Rockets down 3. But that is conveniently forgotten also. So effectively Lin only played two playoff OT periods against Portland. And he scored 5 more than Harden and 1 less than Dwight over 3 OT periods. He shot 4/6 FGs and 3/3 FTs in OTs. And the two games McHale actually puts Lin in for OT the Rockets won, and the game he didn't put Lin in the Rockets lost and Beverley made a turnover with 2 sec left and the Rockets down 3. Oh, and Beverley fouled Wesley Matthews with 7 sec left in OT for 2 FTs that put Portland up 3. So your point about Lin not being able to play under pressure in the playoffs really reflects one turnover at the end of one game. The exact one turnover Beverley had with 2 sec left and the Rockets down 3, and the exact one turnover Harden would have had if Lin had not scooped by his lost ball, drove in, and passed it back out to Troy Daniels for an assisted 3. Other than that, Lin was actually the Rockets best playoff Overtime performer in the series against Portland when McHale actually put him in. And actually better than Harden. Harden was 2/9 on FGs and 2/2 on FTs in those 3 OT periods. ------------------------
Lin athletically isn't likely ever to be a defensive star. But it says a lot about McHale and Scott's coaching.
Better than Bev but not Lawson. The PG spot next to Harden is like the PG spot next to Kobe/Jordan. You're mostly playing off the ball waiting for crumbs.
McHale isn't that kind of coach. Scott isn't a coach at all. It says more about the assistant coaches.
Who the **** cares? Dude pussied away from the tough West where he was a colossal failure to go get a cheap min wage contract as a back up on a bad team with No expectations in the pathetic Eastern conference beating up on such greats like Langston Galloway. He is already a loser in my book just like the Lin fans
Ok, just calm yourself. Don't hurt yourself. Take a deep breath. It's a 82 game season. Lin will still have plenty of bad games. There. Feel better now?
/\ We lost to the Heat, almost lost to the Magic and lost tonight vs. Brooklyn. The East, then, can't be THAT bad. Also the Knicks are an improved team and Charlotte DESTROYED Dallas three games ago and Dallas tonight beat the Clippers. Also Charlotte played poorly twice against (a good) Atlanta team yet only lost those two games by a combined 4 points. The East is better this year.
Scott sucks, but it's Lin's own fault for not learning from McHale. McHale keeps telling Lin to play harder but Lin just wouldn't listen. If he had listened, he'd have greatly improved his defense back then, too.
If only McHale could clap his way into Anthony Robbin's territory, we'd have a motivated Rockets teams ...
I see what you did here...brilliant. Lin mentioned in this post game interview on how Hornets coaches challenged his works on defense and help him improved in that category.
i'm always on clutchfans cause i'm rockets fan why are you here? identity crisis? can't find a fake charlotte moniker? how about Hornets23 every lin only fan should be excommunicated
zboy he's a lin fan impersonating a rockets fan with his moniker, he could put the word 'rox' on the front and insult Hakeem Olajuwon and thinks nobody wouldn't see it people like this are no better than chickens in a chicken farm
I'm sure FTW achieved much more in his life than this millionaire loser p***y who achieved playing in the world's toughest sports league and is living his dream.
I just think it's ironic that a significant amount of FTW's rep likely came in the 'Fire McHale' thread, no doubt FROM Lin fans.
Lin fans don't have enough rep points to rep FTW. It came from Tinman and ZBoy in return for him coming over here and having a breakdown once in a while ...
