He's our first option, yes. Has been brilliant from the line in past years but has struggled a bit this season.
Guardiola always talked Bayern down before the semi-finals against Spanish teams. It has been like a self-fulfilling prophecy. He said "we don't have someone like Ronaldo or Messi" when we have Müller and Lewandowski (and Robben and Ribery, when healthy). He just never really showed confidence in our guys.
We wouldn't even be in this hole at all if Guardiola had just used the same line-up in Madrid. Arrrgh. Come on guys!!!
