I think most of us (including myself) has a schadenfreude relationship with Parsons for his demeanor and what he said to the media than the money he took.

    1. He's been a major $ investment for a hated division rival. If he flounders, that is awesome news for the Rockets.

    2. He is an NBA player, and this is the NBA dish. Any NBA player could have a thread, especially if #1 is true too.

    3. Don't click on threads that don't interest you. Works well for my own enjoyment of the BBS.

    Cheers.

IIRC he got injured faster than DMo, and unfortunately given his crappy performance I think he got back too soon. As far as CP is concerned, i thought we had a star player in the making in his rookie year (great D+tip dunk master) but unfortunately every year after he has regressed, he lost his defensive intensity and then he stopped aggressiveness, culminating last year when he stopped moving around without the ball and driving in the lane looking for contact. He has become a total role player IMHO, and the fact that Dallas is paying top dollar for him as well as guys like Wesley Matthews means they will never be a serious player again in the Dirk era. Good job Cubes!

I don't think anyone faults him for taking the money. I think what most people have a problem with is he forced the Rockets hand when we were so gracious to let him out of his contract a year early. At least let Bosh decide before signing the offer sheet.

But with role players making $10 mil/year now is the money he's making really that crazy ? The extra ~$6 mil (doesn't he make 16 ?) is for his potential as a 6'10 player who can shoot and handle the ball. Plus - who the hell else were they gonna spend money on? When your franchise player is a 38 year old jump shooting german, you have to pay extra for 2nd tier talent.

I thought it was an insane contract at the time but, looking at it now, it looks about right.
