Yep. The guy that eventually bunt popped out. As an aside, the 3rd baseman made a bad play on that. He should have let it fall since Calhoun just stood at the plate for an easy double play Of course, it's a moot point since the Royals won. With respect to the non-strike call, that is probably a really hard call for either umpire - when the bat essentially just stays there, plus his last act was pulling the bat back, albeit after the ball crossed the plate. If it was a reviewable call, it would have been ruled a strike.

Seems like there have been a ton of "big" meltdown-type innings this post-season. Very un-post-season like.
Funny how the Astros and cardinals used to battle ten years ago. Since then the cardinals have won two worlds series and are still way ahead of the Astros and still have a brighter future.
Every sport has that one franchise that manages to stay elite in multiple eras. Spurs, Patriots and the Cardinals.
Ugh .. had the Angels at 14-1 from way earlier in the season .. almost time to throw that ticket away
Nats are still alive thanks to a throwing error from Giants pitcher Bumgarner. Dodgers-Cardinals Game 3 is about to start next.
there were two extremely lucky plays like that in the game that both saved the dodgers. the one you showed there and the line drive by Holiday earlier that hit the pitcher and saved another run. The dodgers were very fortunate to not have given up several more runs than they did. Game 4 tomorrow will be intense, let's see if Miller can matchup with Kershaw...
Clayton Kershaw - best regular season starting pitcher? Spoiler

If score holds, Kershaw will be 1-5 with a 5.12 ERA in 10 postseason games (8 starts)
— David O'Brien (@DOBrienAJC) October 7, 2014
And those Cardinals, a model of consistency, year after year. All the best players and the most interesting teams have been eliminated. KC will be a fan favorite. And the series will still be good entertainment, but certainly a number of entertainment balloons have burst. I'll be rooting for a KC St.Louis series so I can root hard for KC.
