Dynamo win 2-0 against the Chicago Fire. Now they have to wait and see what happens in tonight's game between the New York Red Bulls and L.A. Galaxy. That game is on ESPN2. If New York loses, their playoff hopes are still alive for the Dynamo. It also sets up a big must-win game on Saturday between the Dynamo and the Red Bulls.

Red Bulls 4-0, which is good news for the Dynamo to keep them in the hunt of the playoffs picture. http://www.mlssoccer.com/standings 5) NY - 41 pts., 4 games left --------------------------------- 6) TOR - 40 pts., 5 games left 7) PHI - 38 pts., 4 games left 8) HOU - 36 pts. 5 games left This is not going to be easy for the Dynamo, they just need to take care of their own business.
I don't get why the MLS schedule it during the same time as Texans/NFL games. I know this game was on the Univision Sports Network and also I understand they have a contract with the tv station to put their games on that timeslot. It would be better if they can broadcast the games on Sunday night instead of airing it on Sunday afternoon.
You just hit the nail on the head of why MLS' schedule is different from the rest of the world's. Yes, the last couple of games go against the NFL. But, that's better than the entire season going against the NFL.
Today, this could be the season for the Dynamo. They must get a positive result. After N.Y., they also have to play at Toronto, and then play their last two home games against playoff contenders D.C. and New England. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/8czaf9HuYPo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Full Time: Dynamo 0-1 Red Bulls More bad news is that Boniek and Garrido are called up for Honduras to play against USA next week. They will miss the next 2 Dynamo games vs. Toronto and DC United. http://www.chron.com/sports/dynamo/article/Two-Dynamo-midfielders-called-upon-for-5792163.php The 2014 season is more likely done for the Dynamo. Gotta think about next year in the 2015 season. The offseason will be interesting especially with the coaching situation on Dominic Kinnear whether he stays or goes. Plus, a possible conference realignment because with two new expansion teams (New York City FC & Orlando City) and Chivas USA not playing next year, http://sports.yahoo.com/news/mls-says-chivas-usa-might-165849003--mls.html. That could send the Houston Dynamo and Sporting Kansas City back to the Western Conference.
With all of the positives for the MLS over the past 10 years, contracting again would be horrible...especially in a large market. I don't understand the resistance to move the franchise somewhere that would want it. I figured the Dyanmo would be moving back west with the new eastern franchises. Baring an ownership change in the next couple of months (which clearly ain't happening), I think Dom gets another chance to right the ship despite the downward spiral they've been on. I know he's an excellent coach but he's been too resistant to change when things clearly aren't going right. Any other coach would've benched and likely released a Will Bruin.
tyler deric had a pretty damn good game last night, dynamo win despite the phantom red card call, maybe a little too late tho
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/bX0-t75NIkk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/GhT48Roj7OY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Impressive performance from Deric including a save on the penalty spot against Jermain Defoe. I still can't believe that a local homegrown player from Spring, TX stopped a penalty kick against one of the best players who has Premier League experience.
The weather is gonna be pretty bad tomorrow. Bring ponchos or jackets, umbrellas are not allowed in the stadium.
Must win for Dynamo as a loss will get us eliminated from playoff contention. Sucks we have to play 2 of the best teams in the conference in DC United and Revolution in must win games.
