Well there is 2 divisions and 11 teams in each division. I feel pretty good about my draft. Need Spiller and Matthews to both have great years.
Spiller can pull off some huge games, but he also has a tendency to completely disappear at times too. Your lineup looks good, but health would be my concern with a lot of your players.
The obvious sleepers like Pitta, Ertz, and Green were taken in 12-14 . But ones like Delanie Walker and Heath Miller and went undrafted, so I honestly wouldn't worry. Jimmy Graham and Gronk are basically high tier TE=WR2 in my opinion. Everyone else really depends on if they get TD's and how regularly they do so.
QB's were going pretty fast. Nearly every team in my league has two. I might have pulled the gun Cutler early, but mainly because I was looking to draft him because I think he will have a very good year. Kaepernick was BPA at that spot. I make a lot of trades so I tend to draft BPA to get "assets". ;-)
Just finished my draft, 10 team league QB Peyton Manning WR Dez Bryant Eric Decker Mike Wallace Torrey Smith Reggie Wayne Danny Amendola RB Alfred Morris Ben Tate Bernard Pierce Darren Sproles TE Rob Gronkowski Coby Fleener DEF Denver New England K Johnny Manziel
12 team standard league. Except, passers score 1 point for every 10 yards thrown. Also 3 bonus points for 300-399 passing yards and 4 bonus points for every 400+ passing yards. There are also roster limits on all positions. QBs: Matt Stafford / Eli Manning RBs: Le'Veon Bell / Shane Vereen / Bishop Sankey / Bernard Pierce WRs: Randall Cobb / Michael Floyd / Terrence Williams / Kelvin Benjamin TEs: Jimmy Graham / Zach Ertz Ks: Shayne Graham / Graham Gano DST: Chiefs / Chargers DEs: JJ Watt / Cameron Jordan LBs: Luke Kuechly / Jerod Mayo DBs: Antrel Rolle / Kenny Vaccaro Again there are roster position limits so all my bench guys have to complete the roster limits. Starting lineups consist of QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE... and one each of the defensive and kicker positions.
Standard league with .5 PPR QBs: Matt Stafford / Johnny Football RBs: Jamaal Charles / Ray Rice / Stevan Ridley / Bernard Pierce / Knile Davis WRs: Demaryius Thomas / Cordelle Patterson / Terrence Williams / Jarrett Boykin / Markus Wheaton / Aaron Dobson TEs: Jordan Reed Ks: Steven Hauschka DST: Bengals D/ST Traded up to the top overall pick and took Charles also got a 8th rounder who turned into Bernard Pierce. Had to sacrifice a second and third rounder which the guy used to select Eddie lacy (who fell) and Vincent Jackson.
12 team league 25 yards per point passing 4 points passing TDs (all other TDs 6) 10 yards per point rushing 10 yards per point receiving Position list: QB, RB, W/T, W/T, W/T/RB, K, DEF 1. (10) Drew Brees (NO - QB) 2. (15) A.J. Green (Cin - WR) 3. (34) Arian Foster (Hou - RB) 4. (39) Vincent Jackson (TB - WR) 5. (58) Ray Rice (Bal - RB) 6. (63) Julian Edelman (NE - WR) 7. (82) Kendall Wright (Ten - WR) 8. (87) Steven Jackson (Atl - RB) 9. (106) Bernard Pierce (Bal - RB) 10. (111) Arizona (Ari - DEF) 11. (130) Jordan Reed (Was - TE) 12. (135) Ben Roethlisberger (Pit - QB) 13. (154) Hakeem Nicks (Ind - WR) No kicker again. Not as happy as I was with my last draft. Got stuck with some really dicey RBs. Also broke my longstanding rule about drafting defenses super late because I am stoked on the Cardinals this year. I also brain farted and took VJax when I had a chance to take Julius Thomas. D'oh.
I don't think you are in that bad of a situation. My general rule is grab one decent running back early and then worry about another one later (and you have arian so you are fine imo, + you have pierce who should be fine until you find another guy). Running back, more than any other position, can be found on the waiver wire a week or 2 into the season, as long as you stay on top of it. Every year there are 1-2 top flight guys that just haven't been discovered yet I too like arizona's defense a lot, wanted to pick them this year but missed out by a single pick
Standard 10 team draft QB: Romo WR: Dez WR: Andre Johnson WR: Marques Colston/Mike Wallace RB: Matt Forte RB: Zac Stacy TE: Jordan Cameron Bench: Andre Ellington, Toby Gerhart, Danny Amendola, Bishop Sankey, Kenny Britt thoughts?
Yeah, sleepers was the plan but I didn't realize until the draft that there were position limits (4 RB, 4 WR). So I couldn't take anymore...don't know if that is a regular espn thing or just this league, but needless to say I am not a fan.
4th pick 14 player money league draft.. I know I know, how did I get Charles? My friends kid joined this year and he picked Peyton Manning first lol.. money gone for him.. How did I do? I was going to get Jordan Cameron 4th round but the guy before me picked him.. kinda disappointed in that. 1. (4) Jamal Charles ( KC - RB) 2. (25) Le'Veon Bell (Pit - RB) 3. (32) Randall Cobb (GB - WR) 4. (53) Michael Crabtree (SF - WR) 5. (60) Nick Foles (Phi - QB) 6. (81) Fred Jackson (Buf - RB) 7. (88) Greg Olsen (Car - TE) 8. (109) Danny Amendola (NE - WR) 9. (116) James Jones (Oak - WR) 10. (137) Jarrett Boykin (GB - WR) 11. (144) Kansas City (KC - DEF) 12. (165) Darren McFadden (Oak - RB) 13. (172) Jake Locker (Ten - QB) 14. (193) Knile Davis (KC - RB) 15. (200) Blair Walsh (Min - K)
I really like this draft. You obviously know what you are doing. I really like the Levon Bell & Jamaal Charles duo. As long as bell can stay outta trouble, I don't see why this guy can't dominate the league.
10 team, non ppr QB: Tom Brady RB: Matt Forte RB: Montee Ball WR: Julio Jones WR: Randall Cobb WR: Roddy White TE: Jordan Cameron Flex: Shane Vereen Kicker: Matt Prater (suspended, now i need to pick up another one ) D/ST: 49ers Bench: Martellus Bennett Hakeem Nicks Greg Jennings Cecil Shorts Brian Hartline Denarious Moore Edit: dropped Moore and picked up Dawson
Pretty similar to mine, I like the RB combo and I think Jones, Cobb, White and Brady were all great value this year. Like the TE advantage too. My only gripe is the bench, which is honestly just personal preference. You have a bunch of solid backup receivers with low upside, while I try to stack my bench with a lot of running back sleepers. Other than that good draft though, and I can see why it is important to have good receivers behind Jones and White.
RB are definitely going to be my priority on the waivers. also trying to work some trades for a RB with people who needs WRs
