Kvasnicka did decently, but being 24 in A+ makes it a little easier to swallow. But Sanudo could be a great arm for this system! And man... if it made up for Santana, I would be ecstatic.
MLB top 100 8) Correa 17) Appel 21) Springer 50) Singleton 52) McCullers 55) Folty 66) DDJ What do you guys think? I expected Folty to be above McCullers and I think Springer should be a bit higher, but that's just me. Also for the '13 draft Bryant was ranked 9 and Gray was 14.

WTHB has learned that 6 players, all from the Academy, were released. They are: RHP Jesus Castillo LHP Geronimo Franzua RHP Victor Mesa LF Edward Santana 1B/DH Victor Tavarez RHP Carlos Vasquez
Would make it likely that he could be in the Big's by the end of the season if they are starting him at CC . . . .would love to see him have a nice first half and end up with Cosart leading our staff here down the stretch
Outside of Springer, who has been held back? That is what makes the whole Springer situation so weird to me, they haven't held back prospects at all, except for Springer.....which makes me wonder/worry about how good they really think he is But seriously, outside of him, who has been held back???
Nobody, but nobody else has been blue-chippers. Everybody else was brought up to evaluate at the pro level.
How many teams haven't called up a single person from he 2010-2013 drafts (well, they called up Chapman, but he was at AA when they acquired him)? We aren't just talking about being held back, this is looking at trying to rush Appel through the system. Not many players have moved rapidly. Of the guys that made he ML debuts last year, only David Martinez & De Leon weren't in OKC to start the season, and they were both 26. Why did DDJ spend 3 seasons in A/A+? Why did Correa/McCullers/Ruiz stay all season in A? Why did Singleton stay at AA all of 2012? Why is Wojciechowski not in the majors? Springer has been treated like pretty much everyone else. You just don't realize it. The team has taken its time with everybody.
Burke, Lane, and Patton were all under the McClane/Wade/Smith regime. I think Springer is the only 'held back from the majors' player so far in the Crane/Luhnow/Ryan regime.
DDJ, Correa, McCullers, Ruiz, and Singleton are all high school draftees. They've all been young for their leagues. Woj just doesn't have great stuff. He's a pitchability guy. Springer, he's the one that should have been called up I think.
Yes, but they've all excelled at their levels. Why take it so slow? I think the team wants a bunch of guys hitting the majors at similar time frames, and delay paying them/controlling them. Everything so far has been the organization taking it slow.
