I am glad I don't have to watch any more of Diego Costa's flopping and crying. He is a good player, but he makes it so easy to dislike him.
"That is not the worst. The worst is when I got the red card all the Chelsea players come around. It felt like I had a lot of babies around me." - Ibracadanbra. Preach on brutha.
EPL will have no team in the CL quarters for the second year in a row. #BestLeague #SmallPond #SoCompetitiveYetLosingAgainstEveryone
Could have not hoped for a better result from Donetsk, the half Brazilian team Not a good performance
They had big players for years, don't know what's the problem. Maybe the lack of good opponents in their domestic league and therefore maybe lack of practices and motivation.
Also, only Everton remain in Europa League. It's been a few down years for EPL in European competition now.
Mixed it up, true. And to Moe, we don't give a **** what league is more popular outside of Europe and in 3rd world countries. Quality matters and we got it.
*Our teams are **** and constantly embarrassing in International competitons, but we got the most fans in Asia and Africa, yeaaa baby, best league" Pathetic, no real fan gives a **** about those ratings and if Chinese guys etc prefer EPL.
Lol, cry more. It's pretty incredible that this discussion is being brought up again and again. This is your answer to why. Accept it and move on. The EPL is more popular because of entertainment value. It's been a fast paced league with rough tackling since the early morning. And it's a close league. Not like La Liga where Real Madrid and Barcelona get all the revenues, have all the money, buys all the best players and are completely dominant both championship wise and money wise throughout the history of the league. Same with Bundesliga and Bayern. It's too predictable. EPL have been **** in Europe for years. Nobody's saying otherwise. It has shifted from Serie A, La Liga, EPL to Bundesliga and back again throughout time, it will shift again. When people say they prefer the EPL, it's because of other reasons than having the top team in Europe as a reason. Is that so hard to grasp? It really shouldn't. If PSG or Monaco would go far and one of them would win the CL two, three years in a row, would Ligue 1 be the best league in the world? Was Eresdivisie the best/one of the best league when Ajax had their golden era in the 90's. No. That's not how it works son. But at the same time, I respect that you feel that the Bundesliga are the best, or that some other think La Liga or whatever. To each his own. But in general, the EPL have attracted the most fans globally for things besides having that one or two dominant powerhouse throughout time.
No, I just spoke the truth. The only argument EPL Fans have is TV popularity and "more competition". The funny thing about this myth is that it's a complete lie. The mid and end of the table is more mixed, but the number of different title winners in the last decade is extremely low compared to other leagues. It's not "more competitve, all the teams are high quality and can win". ATW's picture nailed it, the teams are just not good enough to constantly win and pull ahead by a big margin. But I guess that's how guys like you and Gerving have to advertize and defend your league.
And to Gerving, the part about "if Monaco AMD PSG win three years in a row, is it the best league?" and the sentence about Ajax shows you have a complete lack of comprehension regarding this topic, no one said it's about the winner. It's about the performances of ALL teams of a league in International competitons, but nice way of dodging and creating a fake argument,"son".
No, it's more popular because historically, EPL management has done a significantly better job of marketing its league internationally than any of the other leagues. The fact that everything in the EPL happens in English makes the international marketing easier as well, I guess. All that doesn't matter. Trust me, La Liga has more star power and the Bundesliga matches are at least as entertaining as the EPL matches. Bundesliga hasn't been dominated totally by Bayern nearly as much as La Liga by Barca and Real. It's simply that EPL has had better marketing managers historically.
