He meant do not play the race card or cliche card if you can avoid it.

The lakers might be a good place for Lin. Less pressure, maybe he can perform like he did in NYC.

At least no more turning every topic about lin anymore on clutchfans.

What I dread now is this place gonna explode IF lin play great against us. Watch the lofs come back in full force.

Nah. Even in those rare cases, it will be refreshing. We can sit back from our keyboards and think, "Ahhhh, that's what EVERY game used to be like on Clutchfans. :)"

That is embarrassing, on so many levels.

Oh my, can you imagine the wrath of Kobe if Lin plays like he did in Houston?

I'd pull up a seat with a bucket of popcorn. I can't wait to see the day when idiots like this are spouting that Lin needs to go to another team to shine.

Has there been any reaction to the trade by Lin yet?

i'm curious to see the photoshoots they do with the player holding their new jersey. the only one looking like he is going to be executed would be daryl m.
but there is still time to match parsons, hopefully.

You're talking about the playoffs? Playoffs? Lin, Kobe, swaggy P and Sacre are a playoff team. What world did I wake up to?

Playing on Lakers = less pressure? He's now in the spotlight again vs in the middle of nowhere. If he doesn't perform, the whole country is going to be critical vs just a bunch of Houston Rockets fans on a fan forum.

Being on the Lakers will be 10X worst.. While on the Rockets, didn't really have to do much in Houston, just come off the bench/ that's it. The easiest job in the world and less pressure in Houston/ less media coverage. L.A is going to suck big time, the market is twice the size of ours and their management is even worse than ours and that's saying something, lol.

He usually plays well under pressure and in high profile games esp. when he is given the green light. Something he was rarely given in Houston (whether it was trying to play alongside Harden or under McHale). I suspect many times Harden was acting on his own so prolly more Harden than McHale. Either way, unless L.A. lands another decent scorer, a 3 point threat, and a good big, they aren't going anywhere even if Lin and Kobe put up good numbers.

Lol, did you just described the New York Knicks pre Linsanity?

    The kid will manage.

    He'll be fine.

I hope his fans won't blame Kobe when he is on a slump.

Either way that would be funny.

    I wish him the best.

    He is a great kid.

Hopefully we'll turn our chaotic offseason soon.

    :'(

The Lakers have clearly given up on next season and are only signing short term deals to try free agency next off-season (Jordan Hill for $9M next season????). So what this means for Kobe is that he should just focus on dropping 40 a night and get that all time leading scorer mark that Kareem holds. What this means for Jeremy Lin is that he should be able to get some meaningful minutes and touches to put up decent numbers for his next contract. I mean, if Kobe is going for 40 per night, maybe Lin can rack up 12-15 assists per night. What this means for Julius Randle is that he will get plenty of touches to put up numbers to compete for rookie of the year.
