So, the Mavericks got what they paid for. He is an efficient scorer that has let his defense slide as his NBA career progressed. Parson is averaging about 1 million dollars per PPG: 15 points a game is 15 million dollars a year for 3 years. Parson is giving the Mavericks what he gave to the Rockets. It's just that the Mavs coach is a much better coach, and he won't stick with something like McHale does (averaging about 32 minutes a game and not the 38-39 as with Houston). There is a reason that Harden, Ariza, Parson, etc were averaging 38 minutes a game.... Because that isn't coaching the game efficiently. You can't go with your best players 48 minutes a game, no matter how enticing it is. That's were injuries start coming up, when guys need to compensate for extremely tiredness. I think everyone in CC would like Parson playing for the team. But the opportunity cost of tying up all the financial aspects for the duration of the contract can be a tough pill to swallow. And I have not been offended by what he said of Houston. The man just got himself 45 million dollars, and he's so many people, he didn't think before he talked. Getting caught in the moment can lead to egg on your face, and it happens to everyone if they aren't thinking.
W... T... F... Caught up in the moment is a brief error in judgment. This guy took shots at Houston over several weeks... in multiple instances.
Yeah sure better....if you care more about looks than actually winning games Parsons isn't a bad player, but the fact that he costs 2x what Ariza does and his D is bad means he's useless in playoff time. I'd rather have Ariza, there are way more deadly scorers in the NBA than there are elite defenders like Ariza.
this is quite interesting, basketball is among the least favorite sports in japan, he must have gathered quite some popularity from those few bunches who care enough to know some minor players btw the reporter (female) seems to be a big fan of parsons as she drew the pictures and certificate herself
How is Parson's Q-rating doing? I haven't heard much about him since the Kardashians stuff. I thought he would be more popular by now.
God, he was incredible tonight. Just took over. And shut Batum down too. He was the best SF in the building
Batum shut himself down and Aminu may have been the 2nd best SF in the building. Props to Parsons though, he came up huge in the clutch
Really funny to see how good Dallas' offense again without Rondo messing it up. It'll be even funnier in the summer when they either let him walk to the Lakers (and essentially lost a pick and Wright for nothing) or keep him around at the max (and essentially overpay for a dude dragging them down offensively).

On 25% shooting and a -17 +/- for the night. He played some awful defense, in terms of rotations. Just watch the game highlights and you'll see several cases of CP25 standing like a zombie while Westbrook gets open lanes to the hoop.
