DD loved him some Aaron Brooks much moreso than Lowry.

The man also loved him some Bud more than some Portions

14 points, not even five rebounds a game and still doesn't play defense all for the low, low price of $14 million a year. He makes James Harden money and gives you James Johnson production.

    Thanks, Cuban!

Terrifically ironic that he was excited to be a Mav because he'd have a much larger role.

Damn. I read some of that thread and they are a LOT meaner to him than we've ever been. Seriously. Everyone there seems to insult his motor b/c they used to have 3's that actually ran around and hit the boards.

    This.

I remember specifically hearing how the genius of Carlisle was going to force him to play better defense all while unleashing his true potential to score and create more. It was going to be his coming out party as a "star"

Per 36 absolutely everything is down across the board except his scoring by 1.1 points and his turnovers by .5 and still playing that same bad defense.

Carlisle realizes that Parsons is a role player so that's how he's playing him.

And BTW, you can kill me if you want, but IMO Pasrons is past his prime already. Players like him hit their prime with 21-24 and start to regress from 25yo...

Richar Jefferson is a good example. Parsons will be the same if he does not learn how to shoot.

He will be a 14ppg-4rpg-3apg player till 30. And then he will regress pretty fast....unless he improves his shot.

Yes, Calderon is better than Parsons.

I Compared Parsons to a combination of Calderon+Bargnani.

    - lazy
    - soft
    - less athletic than 36yo Dirk
    - can's shoot from midrange
    - streaky from 3
    - bad motor (disappears in the 2nd half)
    - too slow to attack the basket and draw fouls
    - bad rebounder

His game offense only when his streaky 3pt shot goes in. But when he is off he gives you absolutely NOTHING.

That Rondo trade isn't working out all that well. That trade killed their bench.

Parsons is basically the same player he was in Houston. Did the Mav fans think Parsons was going to make a big leap?

Not to mention with the exception of Bev at the beginning we played wayyyy off Rondo.

I told CFers here this would happen.

Yep. Their depth is very much depleted, and it really showed tonight. Maybe Rondo will turn back into the pseudo-supestar he was, and of course in the playoffs depth isn't as important, but currently it looks like the Mavs got worse from that trade.

Yep, he really needs to fix that shot. Was at the game and after the Rockets left Rondo wide open for a three and he missed it, I saw Parsons go up to him and say what looked like "Don't take that *****!"

Parsons is at Brewer level at max but with less consistancy...and it will remain that way for the rest of his career.
