For those wondering. During your first 4 games you get points towards the championship seeding for the games on the 12th.

    Here's how the system works:

    POINTS SYSTEM
Standings over the first five days of the league will be kept using a seven point system. In this system, seven points are awarded each game and distributed as follows:
    • 3 points for winning the game
    • 1 point for every quarter a team wins (in the event of a tied quarter, both teams will receive 0.5. points)
    • The winning team in each game can collect between 4 to 7 points, while the losing team can collect from 0 to 3 points.

    CHAMPIONSHIP SEEDING CRITERIA
Day six Championship seeding will be determined by a team's total points in the league standings. In the event of a tie, the following tie-breaker will be in place:
    • Tiebreaker 1: Total point differential
    • Tiebreaker 2: Total points allowed
    • Tiebreaker 3: Coin flip

According to my math, the Rockets receive 5 points for this game (3 for winning +1 for winning the 1st quarter + 1 for winning the second quarter).

    not bad

Jones, Smith and Bev solid...Covington didn't show up for the minutes he got. Surprised Canaan wasn't playing.

TJones played great! Bev up to his same ole self, 7 fouls too! Our new 2nd pick didn't play?

James Anderson needs to play A LOT better if he wants to keep a roster spot

Chris Finch is coaching? That means we'll try hard to win to get to that championship LOL

Are we still looking at guys to fill our roster? I thought we were pretty set. Maybe for the Vipers.

Beverly and Smith might sit next game as both are ready and let Caanan get big minutes Tuesday.

(Perhaps a dumb question, if so my apology...) According to the summer league stats Beverley has 7 fouls?!?! Do they get an extra one in summer league?

Also, 7 fouls in 26:33 minutes?!?!

    THIS MAY HELP> http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba-must-abolish-10-foul-rule-summer-league-185200530--nba.html

    10 fouls
Normal NBA rules dictate that a player is disqualified after six fouls in a 48-minute game. In the Summer League, players foul out after 10 fouls in a 40-minute game. This is ludicrous. Since NBA Summer League games are shorter than normal games, players really should foul out after five infractions like in 40-minute college games.
From a fan's perspective, these NBA Summer League games are almost unwatchable. I imagine the 10 foul rule is in place to ensure that players can stay in the game and get their work in without fear of being disqualified. But I believe that Summer League players don't learn the art of playing aggressively while avoiding foul trouble.
The NBA must abolish the short-sighted 10 foul rule for Summer League games. The 10 foul rule creates a dangerous atmosphere for Summer League players and indirectly leads to bad habits when the regular season begins. Summer League players should foul out after five or six fouls, not 10.

    Endnote on 10 foul rule

This article is a discussion of the 10 foul rule that exists in the Las Vegas NBA Summer League. In the Orlando Summer League, players never foul out! That rule is so incredibly terrible I wouldn't even know where to start in writing an article about that.
