I will agree with the first one. Dante was clearly closer to the goal than two opponents on the header forward. On the other one in question, it may have been 50-50, but I do not really want to award the ball to the defense when all they're doing is standing around, not wanting to defend. If it was 50-50, why so worried?
Néymar Jr. and El Tata Gonzalez just cursed each other out while Néymar was waiting to kick a corner. I want an animated .GIF of that. Meanwhile, beautiful header goal from Paulinho 86' to make it 2-1 Brazil.
They won't beat any of Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy [x], and France IMO. To convince me, they have to win their games convincingly which they've failed to do in the last two matches. If you're going to be favourites to win the WC next year, at least play like one. They can't ride their luck against Germany or Spain.
Tier 1 *Sure fire favorites: Spain and Germany Tier 2: *Capable World Powers: Italy, Brazil, Argentina Tier 3: *Dark Horses: Netherlands, Colombia, Belguim, Portugol Tier 9: USA
He always pulls off all that crap. Paired with Busquetes this will be the world's best flopping duo ever.
What's wrong with Portugal? I don't rate Brazil at all and I think they'll struggle against all of the teams I just mentioned plus the Dutch. I only consider them as favourites in the WC next year because of being the host country. But as a pure footballing side, I'm not convinced by the way they play and the results they pull off. Portugal with Ronaldo, Moutinho, Nani, Varela should give the Brazilian defenders fits. The way I see it Brazil, Portugal, Italy, Uruguay are all on the same tier. France is too Jekyll and Hyde for me to give any predictions on but with the players they have, they should be able to give Brazil trouble.
Other than what you mentioned for Portugal, they really don't have much else in my opinion. Brazil isn't the same brazil through the middle of the field and don't have a super striker like the past. But one thing I do think they have is an amazing 4 on the back line. Probably 4 of the best in my opinion. Not many teams will give them fits there, what they can do in the midfield is what I am interested in seeing since they haven't been that fluid.
