Makes no sense at all. He signed an extension last year too, and had a contract through 2018. Now he has a brand new contract through 2019. This contract was all about Messi being a greedy b****. They already had great leverage to get a premium transfer fee if they wanted to sell him.

One of my favorite players of all time and the reason why I became a ManU fan back in the early 90s. I love his playing style and demeanor. It is one of the great shames that he was stuck playing for Wales and never had the chance to play in a World Cup (same will be said for Bale). Well done, Giggsy. Well done. Along with Giggs retiring, van Gaal was confirmed as the new manager. Good move and hopefully Giggs will work with him and eventually become manager.
