Thiago played at the 6 spot in his first two games and excelled.
REEKO, how often did he play at that spot with Barca? How big is his potential there, could he play there permamently after Schweini retires or will he play as an 8? Would be great if you could give us something like your personal scouting report on him and how you see him develop.

Yo what's this I'm hearing about players playing on a red card "parole" in the Bundesliga?

Yung-T, you got anything to do with it?

Yup, El Tata is the new boss at Camp Nou. We still need to get a quality defender and we should be able to compete honorably.

Do you think he will do well at Bayern?

Sad thing is like you said there are better players in front of him now. My guess is you won't see much until 2014/15. Bayern is just too packed in the midfield which is ironic.

But if he is the next Xavi, he should be able to beat them out?

Maybe we can transfer one of our midfielders to Barca, that way Bayern is less packed and Barca improves a lot. How about Kroos in a Barca jersey?

Kroos could be your next Xavi.

Well I think the current administration would pass on that offer.. They will probably come back to yall with Messi+Iniesta+Neymar+Xavi for Kroos.
Can you tell I dislike them?

As much as I like Thiago he still had a ways to go before approaching close to Xavi's level. I should clarify what I meant by saying he was the next Xavi.

He was supposed to be the replacement. The next in line. He was born and breed in La Masia like Xavi and I thought he belived in it as much as Xavi but alas I guess I was wrong. He's shown me he's eager but unwilling to be patient in his football. Xavi plays with calmness(even when he was younger) and intellect while Thiago plays with impatience at times. Brilliance is in his game though

He's a top level prospect but I wouldn't in my dreams choose him over Xavi even in 2 years. That's how much I think of Xavi. I'm more upset at Rosell and Tito (animis) for ruining Thiago's value to the club. There are other players that I consider young with great potental too. Deulofeu comes to mind as being that player.

Just enjoy having a good replacement for Ribery in 2 seasons. Unless he b****es about playing time

    Thanks REEKO.

Have to say, it sounds a bit like you thought he was going to be the next big thing when he was still at Barca, but now that he is gone, you are telling yourself he wasn't really that good after all...

From what I have seen so far, your assessment seems correct. In the two matches I have seen with him, he had some flashy passes, but he also had like 6 missed passes, because he was trying to be too flashy. Looks to me like he still has to learn, from someone like Schweinsteiger. Hopefully, he is open to that.

I don't have sour grapes but I've always put club ahead of player. In our system I thought Thiago would flourish. Under Bayern's I have no idea. You guys tend to buy players instead of developing them. To each their own.

    (Beckenbauer
    Gerd Mueller
    Schwarzenbeck
    Sepp Maier
    etc. etc. etc.)

    Schweinsteiger
    Lahm
    Badstuber
    Müller
    Kroos
    Alaba

    (all developed at Bayern)

    vs.

    Neymar

(bought for 57 million Euros, an amount Bayern has never spent on a single player)

    Yeah, to each their own.

You have selective memory or I hit a nerve. Next thing you know you'll say Thiago was a Bayern youth product lol.

    Enjoy the game today :)

Nope, I just proved that what you posted was bull****.

Neymar alone cost more than all of these players combined, several of whom became world champions, won the Champions League (or its predecessor) multiple times and were bred at Bayern.

    Messi, Inesta, Xavi.

I'd say youth farm is better than yours especially when I remove Schweinsteiger since he wasn't "born and raised" in Bayern
