If they keep this up, they're going to look like idiots giving an unprotected pick to the Celtics. That could be crazy valuable the way things are looking for the Nets right now.
Nets picks traded away since 2010: Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, Damian Lillard, Darius Morris, Gorgui Dieng, Shane Larkin, 2014, 2016, 2018.
I thought Kirilenko was supposed to come back? Can't imagine how this banged up roster can make it through the postseason facing the likes of Chicago, Miami and Indy
No plug to pull. They're stuck. Wait, I guess they could pull the plug on Kidd. They could do what Bill Simmons said and trade Lopez(because he's their only asset). Does Dwight still want to go to Brooklyn?
I saw the Wolves-Nets game yesterday. Observations - the Nets without Williams, Lopez, Kirilenko and Terry are not an NBA team. They were blown out by a Wolves team that wasn't even playing particularly well. Had the Wolves not shot so poorly, especially from beyond the arc, the Nets could have easily lost by 40 or 50. I'm not too familiar with the Nets so I don't know when the injured guys come back, but until they do, they will have a hard time winning.
Would it makes sense for both teams to do Kirilenko+KG for Asik+Motiejunas+contract filler like Brewer? Nets get an injection of younger and actually healthy players. Houston gets vets (and hopes they get healthy).
If you mean tanking, I don't think their owner is throwing in the towel anytime soon. On the other hand, I could see him stir up a flurry of new trades come February (or earlier) if things don't turn around. If you mean their coach, their owner is probably already taking phone calls.
