    Nate Silver on Colorado

[rquoter]Early bellwethers in Colorado bode well for Barack Obama.

Mr. Obama leads by about three percentage points so far in Jefferson County, west of Denver, which typically tracks the statewide margins closely. He also leads in Arapahoe County, east of Denver, where he leads by six points with two-thirds of the vote counted.[/rquoter]

CNN is being very slow and careful - still hasn't called Wisconsin, which was called maybe an hour ago by other networks. Or just trying to keep people interested.

Here's a quote from Ben Franklin about excluding blacks.

Also see Nef's post about the history books used in Texas.

Is that bet still on between two of you fellers? Can't remember the name. Thought it had to do with who would win the election.

they have gotten in trouble for calling the race before the polls closed in california. that happens in 5 minutes. they will go straight to declaring obama the winner in 5 minutes. they won't even go thru the huge list of states they know Obama has won but are sitting on.

Nah, they'll have to call Ohio or Florida or enough states that would give Obama 270 before they can call the election.
