Yes, I remember that I think it was in 2009, it would of been a great starting point, but sadly politicians place their party before the american people.
I believe what you meant to say is that the GOP put politics ahead of the American people. The grand bargain was an enormous giveaway to republicans but it didn't fit in with their obstruct Obama at all costs strategy so, for the dozenth time at least, they sold the rest of us out. It's disingenuous to say 'politicians' as it implies culpability on both sides.
Yes that is what I meant. The GOP was busy figuring out ways to obstruct this even though it would of been for the better of the american people. The GOP made it personal.

Obama bringing the smackdown vai TPM -- A new web video from the Obama campaign, featuring former President Bill Clinton, suggests Mitt Romney wouldn’t have made the decision to go after Osama bin Laden almost one year ago today: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BD75KOoNR9k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
from the Obama Campaign -- Mitt Romney has invested his money around the world, from the Cayman Islands to Ireland to Australia. We don’t know if he’s using these accounts to avoid paying his fair share in taxes, but we do know that in 2010, Romney’s tax rate was a startlingly low 13.9%. This means Romney pays a lower tax rate than many teachers, firefighters, police officers, and other middle-class Americans—even a lower rate than most other millionaires. If elected, Romney’s proposed tax plan would cut tax rates for the wealthy even further—cutting his own taxes and protecting loopholes that he benefits from. At the same time, he opposes the President’s Buffett Rule, which would require millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share. That’s not right.
The liberals' offensive attack: "Romney was so successful that he made a lot of money!" on the flip side, Barack never even held a real job. Community organizing while attending Jeremiah Wright's church services don't count.
Nope! No one is attacking his money. It's avoiding taxes that's the issue. BTW it's not the liberals attacking, it's the President!
Forget about the economy, the national deficit, foreign policy, etc. One guy tied a dog to the top of his car and one guy ate dogs for breakfast. I need to figure out which one of these acts is less sinister and vote accordingly...
Um.... a College Law Professor doesn't count, I guess? 12 years.......92-2004. Oh, I guess teaching is not a real job?
You making up arbitrary rules about what does and doesn't count as a real job, means nothing. Anyone who's done the valuable community organizing work, and rebuilding entire communities knows that it is definitely real work, and all the more valuable since it's under appreciated. For some reason lately the Republicans have come out and attacked community organizing as if it is a useless and bad thing. It's a very valuable job to this nation, and thank goodness some people are selfless enough to carry it out.
Educating aspiring lawyers who will then go do such fine uplifting service to America such as chasing ambulances and driving up the cost of health insurance due to their outrageous tort settlements. Yeah that's awesome work. Of course he was surrounded by his liberal egghead professors the whole time, so well within his comfort zone.
You know what else isn't real work? Spending an inordinate amount of time trying to convince hundreds of posters on an message board that one is well-traveled, wealthy and has secretaries that do ones work.
