They mentioned Ish Smith has rejoined the Magic at the summer league. Would be crazy if they complete a big trade before these games finish.. Rockets would probably have to forfeit if it's anything like the rumors. Gonna probably be tough mentally on a lot of these guy's .. Wouldn't be surprised if a few play like crap.
are tickets sold out for this thing? i'm currently in LA, might want to drive out there to check it out.
I don't think they can play until they are signed. Once they sign, they can't be traded for 30 days or something like that.
I don't even know if they let the public in ? If it's anything like Orlando then no.. I'm watching the game from there and it's being held in the practice facility. The only spectators appear to be team personnel. EDIT: See my post below
really? then how do guys get traded on draft night if they can't be traded until they are signed.. you can trade the draft rights to a player i believe at anytime.. and i've been watching thew summer league already and have seen all the rooks for the celtics, pistons, etc all playing and haven't seen where they have signed any contracts yet
Looks like it's different in Vegas and you can attend ...check this link http://unlvtickets.com/eventInfo/spe/311/nba-summer-league/
They aren't signed. I can trade picks for nothing. I can trade guys I picked for nothing (draft rights). Unsigned has no salary cap hit. But once I sign them, I have to wait 30 days before I can trade them and there is a salary cap hit. I just did some research though and I think I was wrong in that they have to sign before they can play.
Whom ever posted the Broadband 5 bucks deal from NBA thank you. Now I am destined to spend the next week totally sucked up into HD Rockets rookies heaven. I hit it this morning.....my gosh it looks great! Getting home and getting to watch the Rockets before watching the Astros fall apart as the heavens open and washes away half of Houston...not a bad mid july Friday night IMO...with the finace close by of course.. there are dogs....there are dirty dogs....and there are lucky dogs!! woof woof
6 pm Houston time (central) Take my advice..go to NBA.com and sign up for the 5 dollar broadband deal...it is really really cool..you can watch the games when ever you want too..and of course it also has all the other games.. (plus I get a free toaster0.. one month of Rockets...... a lifetime of ...well one month of Rockets anyway...
Man, I would love to see the PA announcer introduce the Rockets' starters by saying, "And now, starting for the 2012 Orlando Magic..."
For whatever reason the time schedule in the OP is totally messed up. Not sure why, since I copied a press release. I guess they must have changed the schedule. If the times on NBA.com are correct, it's: Friday July 13 6:00 PM ET -- Houston vs. Toronto Saturday July 14 10:00 PM ET -- Houston vs. Washington Monday July 16 8:00 PM ET -- Houston vs. Sacramento Tuesday July 17 10:00 PM ET -- Portland vs. Houston Wednesday July 18 8:30 PM ET -- Chicago vs. Houston
