I think USC can still beat ND, they have loads of talent.

Matt Barkley will be in the NFL next year and his WRs will be a downgrade.

We finally get to see what happens when top SEC defenses face some real offenses with SC and Florida.

If Florida loses to FSU and OU beats OSU, it becomes fairly likely that UT vs A&M would meet in the Sugar Bowl.

    Basically:

UT beats TCU/KSU almost assures a BCS bowl
If OU beats OSU, they win the conference and take Fiesta; if they lose to OSU, we win the conference and get Fiesta
A&M is probably in line for the SEC's 2nd BCS bid if Florida loses to FSU.

In the scenario I posted, it would probably be:

    National Title: ND vs Ala/Georgia
    Rose: Pac12 vs Big10 winners
ACC: FSU vs Big East winner
Fiesta: OU vs Wildcard (likely Pac10 #2)
Sugar: Wildcard vs Wildcard (likely Texas vs A&M)

LSU could make it, but from the bowl's perspective, there's an excitement and TV value of the A&M offense and seeing the potential Heisman trophy winner. A&M is the "hot" team now. And if Texas is the other team, add a huge matchup appeal there. From the city's perspective, LSU won't bring anyone from out of state to fill up hotels, eat at restaurants, etc. From the SEC's perspective, it's an opportunity to strengthen their foothold in the Texas market.

Oh yeah, that's right, Texas sucked early on and everyone wanted Mack Brown out... then they beat... I don't know, mediocre scrap teams and people start talking BCS?

Whelp, now we remember, down with Mack Brown!!

They'll probably come back and win. They're still mediocre though. So is the rest of that conference. OU could probably have been good though - underachieved this year.

i know mccoy's last pass was possibly the worst pass in the history of organized football considering he was free of the defense and then threw it into a group of about 10 people like a hail mary when we had been dinking and dunking all over them the last drive and still had plenty of time, but once again david ash sucks all game and can't move the ball for a first down and then mccoy comes in and we get a touchdown drive with mccoy escaping pressure and throwing on the run and reading the D and hitting receivers in tight windows all the way down the field. ou, kansas, and now this game ash gets 1 total td (on a drive with all rushes) in 9 or so quarters of play and mccoy gets 5 td's in the other 3 quarters of play. any half legit D is beyond ash's abilities.

we're quite mediocre but the big 12 is #1 in sagarin's conference rankings, partly because outside of kansas no one in the conference is a cupcake.

I'm surprised how well Florida moved the ball on FSU in the 1st half.
