That's a pretty self-important thing to say. That said, maybe it's deserved. They current holders of the Copa del Rey must have haters coming out of the woodwork.
Most GK's act the same way. Some are milder than others. You must not have seen Peter Schmeichel in his heyday.
Um. Tottenham barely have better attacking options than Fulham much less United. Carrick shouldn't be mentioned in that list of United mids because his role isn't to provide creativity and he has been a consistently good player in his position. Regardless, creativity is still needed in United's midfield, despite Kagawa. It slays me how they teased supporters with Wesley Sneijder for years, didn't get in the bidding for Santi Cazorla or try to get Nuri Sahin on loan. Got out of the Modric sweepstakes. Yet they add to the strike force. If the service and creativity isnt there in midfield, the goals will be few and inconsistent. Whatever though, it's Man. City's world and we're all living in it. (Come on Liverpool-on Sunday)
I'm new to club soccer and I was wondering which is considered better? 1: winning UEFA Champions (chelsea) or 2: winning premier league (man city)
Interesting question. Champs league is more prestigious than EPL but I don't think anyone would say that Chelsea were a better team than City last year.
^^ In general CL is the biggest thing in football along with the World Cup, but Chelsea's title is a bit tainted because of the way they played.
Eden Hazard is the man, great player and great signing. Chelsea 3-0! RVP's goal today was fantastic as well.
Rodallega's followthrough ended up in Rooney's thigh. Pretty bad gash, hope this will give RVP and Kagawa a chance to form an awesome partnership.
Kagawa man of the match, great to see him performing well in Premier League. Amazing to think how Dortmund bought him for 300k 2 years ago and now he's worth 25+mil easily.
Champions league no doubt, considering only the best clubs of each country play against each other. Chelsea won it a little bit like Greece won the Euro a couple of years back - ugly.
Chelsea won it fair and there's absolutely nothing wrong about it. They played terrific defense and made the most of their chances in front of the opponent's goal. E.g. Barcelona's 2009 CL title is tainted due to referee help.
I made that comment because that's how most of the public sees it, their title is tainted because of their destructive way of playing. And I also agree with him that Barca's 2009 title was a joke and Chelsea got robbed. In the end I'm not one bit mad at Chelsea but at our own team because we had the once in a lifetime shot at winning the title at home and couldn't score goals, hold the lead for the last minutes, prevent Drogba from his header or score the decisive penalties.
Have you picked a team to follow? If not, I highly suggest Liverpool FC. They're a team on the rise with a rich history. Much like Boston Celtics, Lakers, and Knicks combined (not sure about NY but just felt like adding it)!
^^ Horrible joke by Jontro, don't listen to him. Liverpool are hated because they have no history and achieved everything trough rich sponsors that bought them great players. If you want to follow a REAL club choose Manchester City, they are one of the English teams with the most tradition and everything is accomplished via great youth work and a dedicated owner family.
