With the anticipated trade of David Lee for Anthony Randolph, Turiaf, Kelenna Azubuike, and one more signing with remaining money(Raymond Felton/Mike Miller type), our Knicks picks have just gotten more or less a "fixed value".

    Tentative NY Rotation next year

    C: Amare
    PF: Gallinari
    SF: Randolph
SG: Mike Miller or Toney Douglas
PG: Toney Douglas or Raymond Felton

Bench: Chandler, Curry, Walker, anyone else I'm missing?

I'd say that's a 30-40 win team, which means they're likely in the #8-15 range in terms of picks, at least based on this year's rankings.

    Ways our pick can improve

    1. They get hit with the injury bug
    2. Amare becomes worthless without the best passer in the game
    3. The Knicks trade away value for another "run" at Melo next year.

Ways our pick can lose value

    1. They get someone decent for Curry's rotting corpse
    2. They work out a trade for Tony Parker

Good golly, LeBron going to NY made Rockets fans everywhere breathe a sigh of relief.

    Really 30 or 40 wins?

20 to 30 wins is a much better prediction. Amare is vastly overrated, and they have no true role players.

This is a BAD BAD TEAM, and I am happy. Here is to Knicks winning the #2 pick!

I think Randolph will play PF and Gallo will play SF if the trade when down.

Amare can't play center. Gallinari is too slow for PF fulltime.

    C: Curry???
    PF: Amare/Randolph
    SF: Gallinari/Randolph
    SG: Mike Miller
    PG: Douglas

I honestly can't imagine that team winning more than 25 games. Especially now that the East is tougher. There isn't a single defensive minded player on that roster and if Amar'e goes down with an injury for even 20 games or so? Oh god. 15 game winner.

I think they're a borderline playoff team. I could see Charlotte falling off a bit and NY taking their place. I say mid-teens, which is much better than the mid-twenties if Lebron went there.

They have a good shot at bottom 5 in the league. Maybe their strategy will be to protect their next pick by tanking for that #1 spot.

    Eddy Curry
    Danilo Gallinari
    Wilson Chandler
    Toney Douglas
    Bill Walker
    Andy Rautins
    Jordan Fields
    Jerome Jordan
    Amare Stoudemire
    Anthony Randolph
    Ronnie Turiaf
    Kelenna Azuibuke

That's 12 guys on the roster. No more roster charges apply.

The Knicks have this team and another $13-14M in available cap room.

Let's reserve judgment for at least another month or two.

So you typed "Miami" and the iPhone auto-corrected it to "New York"?
