The Oscars. Comes on later at 7 pm cst. Looking forward to the hosts. Inception better not get robbed this time.
Trent Reznor wins his 1st Oscar tonight. Its funny that about 20 years ago when NIN surface, my parents told me that the music I listen too will not be around in 20 years. 20 years later here we are and an Oscar on the horizon. Freaking epic!
This is the main reason I'm watching tonight. Would LOVE to see Reznor get up there and accept an Oscar.
Just finished Black Swan today, the last of the 10 nominees I needed to see, I'd rank them 1) Inception 2) The King's Speech 3) Black Swan 4) The Fighter 5) Toy Story 3 6) The Kids Are All Right 7) Winter's Bone 8) The Social Network 9) 127 Hours 10) True Grit
1.The Social Network 2.127 Hours 3.Inception 4.Toy Story 3 5.True Grit 6.The Fighter 7.Black Swan 8.The King's Speech 9.The Kids Are All Right 10.Winter's Bone IMO. It's weird, I don't even have a facebook account, I just really enjoyed the film and the story.

Okay, I just barely won the house Oscar pool last year (won by one category, my wife was not pleased). Gotta defend my title. I'm filling out my Oscar ballot, and I feel confident about every pick except two: BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY 'Black Swan' 'Inception' 'The King's Speech' 'The Social Network' 'True Grit' Dilemma: Can't decide between 'True Grit' and 'Inception'. Wally Pfister has been winning for 'Inception' (deservedly so), but Roger Deakins hasn't won one yet... what's your pick? BEST DOCUMENTARY 'Exit Through the Gift Shop' 'Gasland' 'Inside Job' 'Restrepo' 'Waste Land' Dilemma: 'Gift Shop' is the more popular, sexy pick, but 'Inside Job' is more timely and relevant. Suggestions?
I'd go with inception for cinematography and I'm fairly sure exit through the gift shop will win best doc.
it was my favorite doc this year hands down, but the academy likes to be political so inside job may have the inside track.
Best Picture - King's Speech Best Actor - Colin Firth Best Supporting Actor - Christian Bale Best Actress - Natalie Portman Best Supporting Actress - Melissa Leo Best Score - Reznor Best Director - David Fincher
Inception sucked. Reznor's music was unnoticeable. Nothing but white noise. Deep down you all know I'm right.
I don't think Inception will win much of anything tonight. King's Speech and Social Network will sweep the boards. Best Picture, Screenplay, Actor going to King's Speech. Supporting Actor: Christian Bale. Best Actress: Natalie Portman 1. King's Speech 2. Social Network 3. Inception 4. The Fighter 5. Black Swan 6. 127 Hours 7. The Kids are Alright 8. Winter's Bone 9. True Grit 10. Toy Story 3
Oscar Day! This is the only award show I watch every year. Not as excited this year since it seems King's Speech will win everything. I think the movie is grossly overrated. Roger Ebert explains why past trends mean it will win big http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20110210/OSCARS/110219999 . The escapist details how it is built for Oscar love http://escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/escape-to-the-movies/2719-The-Kings-Speech These are the movies I would vote for and not who I think will win. I've seen a lot of the movies nominated including 9 of the best picture nominees. I left off categories where I hadn't seen more than half of the movies nominated. I'm not sure why people are picking Inception for Cinematography. I don't think it really stood out. Everything was pretty traditionally framed and lit. Black Swan has to be the favorite for the award.
