    With good reason.

The NHL got done what the NBA desperately wants to do. They got their young marquee star a championship.

For the record, they're not booing the Penguins, they boo the commish.

Bettman is the worse commish in all of sports.

I remember one NHL draft when as soon as he stepped onto the podium, the Buffalo Crowd killed him. And then he looked around and said Good Morning..

the guy on the pens said props to the wings fan for acknowleding this.

Yeah Wings fans are very respectful towards the Cup. They've just been under the impression (which is correct in my opinion) that Bettman was going to do whatever possible to get Crosby the Cup this year. Plus, they really hate the rules changes he's put in since the strike.

That being said, Fleury put his mark on the game today. Great performance.

I'm so happy! :D Really didn't want to see Detroit repeat again ESPECIALLY after Hossa just ditched the Pens to join Detroit. What a joke I'm so glad he didn't win it with them, he played horribly the entire series too so haha Hossa!

Congrats to the Pens and it was really awesome to hear Mario get a nice reception from the Detroit fans, great series. I was shocked honestly that the Penguins won this I didn't expect it but man am I glad it happened.

    You've got that right! ;)

Wow, what an incredible ending to an incredible series. Game 7 is yet another example of throwing out the window whatever it is you think you "know" in the world of sports. Every variable, every statistic, whatever ALL favored Detroit. It didn't matter.

Marian Hossa is officially the biggest joke in the world of sports. Not only does he look like a complete fool but you didn't hear his name once all series.

    Hossa can suck on this:

Way to go Pittsburgh! I was happy to see them win despite the local boy Danny Cleary being on the Wings. It was a great game and well deserved victory!

LOL at Marian Hossa! What a chump!

I grew up a passive Red Wings fan, but I'm glad Pitt won... It's nice to see the underdog take the prize once in a while.

That being said, the only real losers last night were the Detroit fans... who, despite what I see people saying here, did in fact boo clearly and loudly over most of the Penguins cup celebration... No matter if Bettman was talking or not. Classless.

As stated before it was mainly for Bettman and partly because Crosby and others didn't shake hands as is tradition. They booed for a small amount of time and cheered for the Pens for most of their celebration.

Whether or not the original booing was "classy" or not is open to interpretation, though.
