2009 Houston Baseball Dinner

    It's Thurs. Jan. 15 at the Hilton America's Hotel located downtown .

    The following people will be honored:

    Lance Berkman, Hunter Pence, Jose Cruz, James Looney(Houston-Area POY), Ryan Berry (Rice) and the All-Greater Houston Area high school team will be announced.

    interested to see how the high school team shakes out. My predictions: Anthony Rendon / Taylor Wall (both play for Rice now) are the best hitter/pitcher respectively

    My wife and I went to this after the 2005 World Series. Was great.

    Brad Lidge and Ausmus were hysterical.

    Lidge talked with me and my wife after the dinner for quite a while.

    If you're a big Astros fan, this is a fun event.

    Tonight, tonight! Anyone else going? Can't wait hear Cooper's speech on how we boast three former 20 game winners (Oswalt, Hampton, Ortiz) and a former All-Star closer (Graves) as the additions that will take us to the promise land!
