Argentina 67 : 76 Brazil, Scola: 19 (9/16) pts , 3rbs, and 3assists. He was fouled out about 4min left in the 4th quarter. I think Argentina played much better in this game than in last game. They really need a good perimeter shooter.

ARG 80 : 78 PUR, Scola 25 pts & 12rbs. Congratulations to Scola and Team Argentina! The have qualified for the 2010 world championship.
our scola played like the leader he is. After the match he was the one giving the speach and leading the celebration
In this game Scola was faced to Peter John Ramos of Puerto Rico, He finished with 14 points on 6 for 7 shooting and 12 rebounds in 20 minutes, boxscore of the game can be found here ( http://puertorico2009.fiba.com/page...4042/gid/9/grid/X/rid/7164/sid/4042/game.html ) Peter John Ramos is number 4 of Puerto rico and can be found as "P. Ramos". Scola finished with 25 and 12, he also nailed a 3 pointer.
He should be. he is the only proven consistent contributor in the low post. Unless, Andersen and the rest of the new big guys deliver then the low post plays will rest on Scola's shoulders. Landry would have his time but He is more on put backs and perimeter shooting.
I watched a couple of Uruguay games. I think Barrera is really good. I am impressed by his court vision. He is a very smart player. I think he would be a prefect 3rd pg for us. Argentina will play Uruguay at 4:00 pm et this afternoon. You can take a close look. In addition, Dominican will play Canada at 6:30 pm et to compete for the last ticket to Turkey. That should be a fun game too. Schedule for today (Sept. 4) http://puertorico2009.fiba.com/pages/eng/fe/09/facm/p/schedule.html # Group Home Away Time City, Arena Leaders Panama vs. Mexico 13h30 (GMT-4) Argentina vs. Uruguay 16h00 (GMT-4) Dominican Republic vs. Canada 18h30 (GMT-4) Brazil vs. Puerto Rico 21h00 (GMT-4)
Scola is a bad mofo....all star team this year..no one plays harder, and no yao means more shots for scola...and he knows what to do with the basketball..
I hope, but i won´t believe that untill i see Adelman doing so. I guess i am quite afraid that Adelman will give 20 shots to Brooks, 20 to Ariza, and Scola will have to continue to fight to get 10-15 shots a game. If there´s anything to learn from Argentina is that if you can develop a good pick n roll teammate for Scola that is a very difficult play to defend. This tournament Argentina had only one offensive weapon in Prigioni and Scola pick n roll and even that being their sole weapon teams have failed to neutralize it. In 2007 it was the same and even the US had a lot of trouble defending the pick n roll also. I hope Adelman notices it.
