Kings and Suns without a doubt. I'd also put an unpopular choice. How about the Early 200's Bucks with their big 3 of Ray Allen, Sam Cassell and Glenn Robinson? I remember them making the ECF and lost to either 76ers or Nets. I was a Ray fan back then, and loved Cassell since he was a former rocket. Also, let's do one of these threads for the 90's. With the Bulls around, there were tonnes of great teams to not win a title... Orlando, and our hated rivals Sonics and Jazz.
Kings, not close One team which few pick: Portland '00 (blew a 4th Q, 16 pt lead against the Lakers in Game 7) <script type="text/javascript" src="http://widgets.sports-reference.com/wg.fcgi?css=1&site=bbr&url=%2Fteams%2FPOR%2F2000.html&div=div_per_game"></script>
yeah, until i saw Fulgore's post i completely forgot about them. they played the lakers in the regular season when both teams had the same extremely good record (i think 46-11) and lost and didn't finish the regular season that well. but still that was a stacked team of above average players with no superstar. i guess they were actually closer to beating LA than sacramento (although that blown lead was almost all them while the kings had calls go against them). not sure where i'd rank them.
