This was a great old-man smackdown. Well played, and probably contributed to the civil tone of this thread. Old Man 1, Young Punk 0
What is your motive? I started an innocent conversation here and I ignored all the cute comments and some were quite funny. Yet you have gone in a direction that I believe to be vulgar and I kindly ask you to back off.
Sorry, I just thought you weren't a MetArt fan and were insulted -- it's not like I said your daughter was doing a Euro-Brazzer video.
Not sure what kind of stuff she wants to see in Rome, but here is an interesting place to spend 30 minutes or so: http://www3.sympatico.ca/tapholov/pages/bones.html If she wants to see major attractions like the Coliseum or Sistine Chapel, she would be well advised to get tickets in advance as the lines can be quite long. If she will be in Rome on a Wednesday, and is interested in seeing the Pope, he gives an address in St. Peter's Square each Wednesday morning. Free to get in, but there will be tens of thousands of people there. St. Peter's itself is free to get in and quite impressive. Beware the picture takers at Trevi Fountain. They'll offer to take your picture with your camera and then ask (lightly demand) payment.
I would not stay at a hostel when travelling with kids-- personally I find that a bit low class. You can stay in 2-3 star hotels when travelling around Europe at a pretty decent price. Hostels are fine when travelling alone or with friends
I think to understand the Cheetah, one must understand his most consistent posts, like this recent one, in a thread he has started and even trademarked: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=8876147&postcount=3631
be proud.. you did well with her.. I wish my kids could someday accomplish half of what your daughter is doing now.
My biggest concern would be if she met this Italian: Sorry, OP, I know I shouldn't have, but I can't help myself, hope you daughter has a safe and good trip.
Lucky it's been as civil as it has... ESPECIALLY after imposing old man will to expose childishness. I'd call myself fortunate with the actual responses and quit getting bent about the minimal riff raff, as it could have been a lot worse.
