Dead to rights on both Okafor and Dan Brown, in my opinion. I didn't see anything in those highlights that made me interested in Okafor as a replacement for Capela. Maybe a backup for Capela on a minimum contract. Color me unimpressed. Brown? He's written one or two decent novels and that's it. I've slogged through all but the most recent from the guy and have given up. He no longer writes science fiction, and seems to have had just one good Robert Langdon style "The Da Vinci Code" in him.

The math I see is that taking the QO this year costs CC +/- 12 mil. Therefore, he would need to make that much more on his next contract to break even. The risk/reward seems outsized when one considers 'reports' indicate he has not been low-balled. Mebbe less than he thinks is his due but not unduly low.

We need variance. Usually it's a bad thing to add variance to a team, but in this case I think it's a win.

And that's fine. My problem is how he feels about the situation, cause if he really feels disrespected, then him taking the QO based on emotion is gonnna hurt both sides.

If he's making a business decision based on emotion, he's ****ing up.

He can have hurt feelings all he wants but at the end of the day we can pay him more than any other team can next summer. He'll have to walk away angry and get paid less.

Letting our only quality young asset take the qualifying offer when we are already over the cap for the foreseeable future is hilariously stupid and shows Tilman is all talk when it comes to tax payments.

"Close to done"....but itll take a week or two. .

Melo is not a "big" of anything. If this **** doesn't work, cut his ass asap.

I dont want a repeat of 15-16 where we have 55+ win talent but only win 40ish games because of **** attitudes.

My main take-away on today's news is that @rocketsballin is considering changing that avatar of his. If so, I'm blaming @cybrex for drooling on about it.

    That's July 10th.

So, didn't the week on July 10th already end on that guy's guess.
