I can’t stop dreaming big, but I’ve slowly been preparing my mind, body, and soul for this outcome...it’s gonna be so disappointing if all we can do is add some role players/decent contributors

I have zero faith in CP3 health...next year if it’s not a bad hamstring, it will be a bad knee, or a bad Achilles

basketball gods gotta answer my Rockets prayers this summer...I need to see Bron Bron or PG in Houston

There are just very limited options because of the cap situation and assets available to trade. The reality is LeBron was/is a long shot similar to Chris Bosh was years ago.

If LeBron James decides that he is going to make a “family” decision, he will go to LA because his wife wanted to go there years ago. Further, while he wouldn’t join a team as good as the Rockets; if Magic is willing to deal young players; he can go to a pretty good team. Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Damon Lillard and others may be in play. The Lakers have lots of assets and if they can sign someone and trade for someone, that is likely enough for LeBron. This isn’t a new scenario, he did it in Cleveland with Love for Wiggins. He did it in Miami with Bosh. The Rockets have Chris Paul who is an exceptional recruiter.... but if you believe Wade, he didn’t even know if LeBron would resign with Miami.

One thing is certain, James isnt going to tell anyone, including the teams vying for him, what he will do until he does it.

People like to say Kawhi "had injuries bla bla", reality is he had one injury so far in his career, and he's 26, CP3 is 33 and had injuries in every single one of his last seasons...wouldn't be shocked if Lebron also considers that. You are lucky if Chris is able to play an entire season healty at this point. If the Lakers will be able to get Kawhi there's no reason why Lebron shouldn't have interest in going there.

Kawhi or Lillard to the Lakers too. Cool

You guys are pretty optimistic for them lol

So they go from no superstars to 3 in the blink of an eye. We’ll see.

I’ve been saying that CP3 could easily be another Wade situation for him...as much as Bron loved D-Wade, it was frustrating to have him in and out of the lineup all the time

Would obviously be many players. An Ingram attached, kuzma, a Josh Hart. It would be a solid deal with young talent and picks.

Yeah but that's some miracle scenario though. Why not talk about a scenario where the Rockets trade Anderson for Kawhi Leonard if you are going to talk about the Lakers trading garbage for him.

I don't see why so many are willing to entertain miracle scenarios for LA while rejecting the obvious scenario of Lebron to Houston.

On a side note, a blast from the past -- Lebron James on Lillard's game :

Also the Paul, Harden, Lebron, and Capela scenario is MUCH more realistic than thinking that the Blazers or Spurs are going to give up Lillard or Kahwi for LA's garbage. There's just no incentive for them to do so.

I agree that it might be hard, i'd say impossible if Leonard doesn't force a trade to L.A specifically, but in terms of assets they're fine, Ingram, Kuzma, Hart and pick/s for a guy who wants to leave and is about to expire is not a bad package honestly. Anderson in comparison is pure trash.

What leverage would he have to force a trade to anywhere specific? The Spurs have him under contract and if he wants out, they could get a LOT more than the Lakers could offer in return for him. When it comes to those assets, I just am not impressed by any of them. They are replacement level players.

just look at the 2002 and 2018 WCF series. one team is heavily promoted by the league and the other treated as a pesky nuissance. silver can be a 'miracle worker' both in-season as well as off-season

It’s not a miracle situation. They can easily have the cap space for 2 max free agents.

One of them, pg, has been linked and rumored to wanna play in LA for years now.

They also have a good treasure trove of assets, not the best in the league but probably about 3rd best.

Boston and philly could probably beat any Lakers package.

That makes a kawhi trade a long shot. But lillard? Both philly and Boston have franchise guys at the point guard spot.

If Portland decides to split up the crash bros, Big IF, Lakers make a lot of sense.

It all really comes down to whatever Lebron decides he is gonna do.

No one is putting together miracles. We are being intelligently observational.

Do we know what the Spurs would accept if they want to move Leonard?

So let’s dismiss Pop and Kawhi sitting down soon.. pretty hard to turn down 219 M. Like cat brought up again, Stein says PG back to OKC is picking up steam

    But schools. Schools!!
