Ariza gave the Rockets everything that he could and way more than expected. Ariza to Phoenix is so he can take care of his family and some day his grandkids. I don’t have any animosity with him taking care of his family.
The Thunder were not expected to keep either of them. If they kept George, it was widely expected Grant would be too big a salary/luxury tax hit. The Thunder retained both and if they need to, can deal both of them a year from now.
