You get the limelight by winning, not by just being in a big city....or rather being in the limelight while losing isn't the place you want to be. Do you think Melo's career was helped or harmed by going to NY and being on awful teams for so long? There was a time he was considered one of the best players in the league.....but then the Knicks ruined that.
Ainge will come out as a winner anyway, whether he gets Kawhi or not, if Lebron goes to the West the Celtics will get a free pass to the finals for years. I have a feeling they might trade Irving, not sure Ainge wants to max him, imo he's not really worth but we'll see.
Not true. teams that have trade exemptions can absorb a lot of the salary and there are also teams like the Suns who have the space. If the Suns are competing for the 8th seed why wouldn't they try a Booker and picks for Haywood deal?
You do realize a lot of these players don't care right? Melo wouldn't undo the NY stuff. His brand was lifted significantly by being in NY even though they never won and he made a ton of money because of it. Some guys just want that. If Kyrie is really hinting he'd leave the current Boston situation for NY that tells you all you need to know.
Yeah, and went to a team that looks to dominate the East for the foreseeable future, not to a scrub Knicks team.
Because everything becomes about Lebron and now we hear that Kawhi may not even want to play with Lebron either
Kyrie was calling Porzingis and said he wanted to play in NY. At the time he was in a team that had made 3 years the finals and was playing with Lebron.
a buddy of mine in the sport agency world - confirmed the rumblings that a Suns trade today could shed light on where Lebron ends up this wk
