S&T were likely never going to work in this FA class, he would have known that, that and they wanted some way to play with each other, its why the FA's only met cap space teams.

Secondly, expiring contracts are most attractive near the deadline, now really teams who are doing well that need upgrades and have assets will get the big names, Houston's pretty high on that list, maybe 2nd or third (i'd put Orlando as the team most likely to land a disgruntled say Paul or Carmelo)
