With all the late hype and documentaries of the original dream team and someone of my age who didn't get to witness (born in the same year), all i really grew up on was watching guys like Kobe dominate and everyone else who played for the Redeem team. Dream team is the greatest team ever assembled. Everyone except Laettner is a hall of famer. Boozer, Redd, Prince are not making the HOF.

It's not like the Dream Team wasn't athletic. David Robinson, Jordan, Pippen, Barkley and Clyde were all freakishly athletic. And you can't say a team with Magic, Bird, and Jordan lacked leadership.

The '92 Team's frontcourt advantage would be too much for the 2008 team to handle.

Lebron, Dwade, Kobe and Dwight Howard can hang, even CP3. After that its way '92 Dream Team.

'92 team is like having 2 Dwight Howards in Robinson and Ewing, 2 Kobes in Jordan and Drexler, 2 Lebrons in Magic and Bird. Any of those Dream Team guys are coming OFF THE BENCH.

Dream Team's depth and size would destroy Redeem Team's depth. Its Bosh vs Patrick Ewing. Then Barkley and Malone, vs Carlos Boozer ... Deron Williams and Boozer arent even the best Jazz players on the rosters let alone the best Olympic players. D Wade was coming off the bench and was the best player of all '08 but he's still not enough of an x factor.

God... why did we put Laettner on that team?

If only Hakeem had gotten his citizenship a little earlier.

I felt that James Worthy kinda got screwed on that deal.

Magic & Bird weren't exactly in their primes any more.

I'd still take the Dream Team.

Shaq was the final cut. Would have been a beast, not that he would have played much with Ewing and Robinson.

The only reason Laettner was picked is for political reason to have one amateur college player on the team, to honor the previous amateur teams. Laettner was NCAA Player of the Year,,,he was chosen pretty much based on that.

btw: Barkley was the most dominant player in the '92 games. Imagine that.

and we cut Isiah Thomas, haha. I mean, we CUT a better PG than any PG on the Redeem Team.

Also, I remember Mullin talking about Jordan saying how everyone was amazed how hard he competed in practices. The guy had an endless motor.

Every player on the 1992 team (except laettner) is a hall of famer.

Seems like a no brainer as to which team would win.

Who do you guys think was snubbed from the 92 team? Im reading I. Thomas and Shaquille. I think Dominique Wilkins wouldve been a good addition.

You guys keep saying every player on the Redeem team is HOF so yeah it would be easy but everyone on the 2008 team is still playing. Granted Michael Redd and Boozer won't be making the HOF i'm sure but guys like Melo, Bryant, Paul, williams, DWade, Howard, Lebron, Kidd and even Bosh (Pippen-like) should make the HOF. thats 10 players, 1 short of the 1992 team.

Isiah wasn't just snubbed; no one wanted to play with him. Bird, Jordan and Magic pretty much insisted he was not on the team.
