When you put yourself in the shoes and try to think like Morey & follow his likely blueprint ASSUMING he strikes out on big name free agents it might seem laughable.

However I was pretty clear that this wasn't a dream scenario I want to happen... I was pretty clear about that. Folks here confuse what they want to happen/would do vs. what Morey actually would do in following his blueprint. This is the likely blueprint I think he will follow with some names swapped here and there.

Whatever happens you guys are going to be scratching your heads at what Morey does if he strikes out. You always do, and alot of the times it works out, and sometimes its a bust.

So mock me if you want, but this is likely what our GM will do, or something similar. If he strikes out, he's not throwing big money at anyone that ISN'T an undervalued player nobody sees out of left field. This is Daryl Morey we are talking about, and we have enough history to not mock someone for thinking this is a realistic scenario.

Have to get J.Noah, horford, and Conley and we are good to go. Shed as much deadweight as we can.

Are we retooling around Harden, or blowing this bad boy up? I could see both happening.

Jonathon Simmons is the next Mario Elie
And Rondo would be an excellent fit.

I would love to get alot of low key signing like mkg.
I would sign low key system guys like
Mkg, seth curry, evan turner, kent bazemore, jamal crawford, luol deng, jared sullinger, brandon jennings, clee, ian mahimi, bismack biyombo, mirza teletovic, ish smith, mo speights, scola, dudley, gerald green, tyler zeller
This is what i do with cap. Durant likely stays in okc. Or he wont come to htown so try to reach for a lower top free agent possibly throw money at horford so best case we would get
    Brandon Jennings/ Beverley
    Harden/KJ
    Ariza/ Dekker
    Donatas/Beas/montrez
    Horford/Capela
    Worst Case
    Ish Smith/Beverley
    Harden/KJ
    Ariza/Dudley/Dekker
    Donatas/Mirza/Beas/Montrez
    Ian Mahimi/Clint Capela

we should have just stuck with the old crew of asik, patterson, parsons, harden, lin, beverly, morris et.al and allowed them to grow/mature, than gamble on quick fixes which destroyed our chemisty

completely forgot about MKG. You would have to think Charlotte would be ready to move on from him if they sign Batum to big money. Doesn't make sense to have both.

Looks like the ultimate spinning-your-wheels-at-41ish-wins roster.

Wasting your time, wasting Harden's time. By this time next year, he'll have a year left before he can walk.

We have to assume that he's going to strike out more times than he's going to score so this is a typical DD special "Kick the Can" type of roster to continue to try and stay asset rich while semi competitive while taking gambles on upside overlooked players on value contracts.

If you guys think he's going to something else, please let me know??? This is a Daryl Morey roster IF he strikes out on big fish... if you think otherwise I wanna hear about it.

Also I think he'll either hit this Summer on someone, trade someone into his capspace between Dec - Feb, or hit on someone in free agency the year later when this team has a year to wash away the Dwight drama stench with a more likable coaching situation to attach yourself to. Its also a year for Harden to prove that "it wasn't me, it was Dwight".

Capela isn't the answer at C, go hard after Whiteside.

I think Rockets fans have seen enough of their starting C sitting on the bench in a suit.
