if everything goes with the percentages and we get 13 this our pick's history Year No. 13 pick 2000 Courtney Alexander 1999 Corey Maggette 1998 Keon Clark 1997 Derek Anderson 1996 Kobe Bryant 1995 Corliss Williamson 1994 Jalen Rose 1993 Terry Dehere 1992 Bryant Stith 1991 Dale Davis 1990 Loy Vaught 1989 Mike Smith 1988 Jeff Grayer 1987 Joe Wolf 1986 Dwayne Washington 1985 Karl Malone 1984 Jay Humphries 1983 Ennis Whatley 1982 Eric Floyd 1981 Danny Schayes 1980 Rickey Brown with this draft so deep we are even more likely to find that Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, or Derek Anderson. ------------------ make it stop.
I would settle for Clark, Rose, Davis, or even Maggete. ------------------ Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion

Not one bonafide bust in the 90's (Dehere comes close but was a productive sub for a couple seasons there) and several all-stars. ------------------
Notice the qualifier of "the 90's." If my math serves me correctly, 87 is not in the 90's. The 80's produced several busts at 13. But that's ancient history. ------------------
Grayer, Smith, wolf, washington and whatley were busts in the 80's. the others weren't so bad. ------------------ "norm, would you like to buy an indian scalp ? This deal isn't gonna make or break me Norm, so don't jerk me around." Harry Carey "Norm, if I had a mohawk scalp, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you."
Sorry But, in the 90's, Vaught has turned into a scrub and Clark and Maggete(Still have time) haven't shown too much as of yet. ------------------ Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion
Vaught had 4 or five good #'s years. I'm not saying he's a stud, but the last 3 years have been bad. Maggette will turn into a decent pro, and Clark has his strengths. ------------------ "norm, would you like to buy an indian scalp ? This deal isn't gonna make or break me Norm, so don't jerk me around." Harry Carey "Norm, if I had a mohawk scalp, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you."
i wouldn't mind drafting the next Karl Malone. it's the Terry Dehere's, Loy Vaught's, and Jeff Grayer's that i'm worried about. ------------------
I wasn't trying to take away anything from your post, I just don't think his last 3-4 years have been great. But no way he is a total bust. Like you said, in the 90's there haven't been any all-out busts. ------------------ Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion
82 wasn't so bad, either! 99 and 00 are too early to know if they were good or not. ------------------ "I encourage you to take a look. His rhythmic meter and usage of alliteration is sublime, as is his boldly dark but refreshing subject matter, which rivals that of Byron or Shelley"-- this statement was actually made by a guy who won our fantasy basketball league (fadeaway). We're not worthy.
Thats the year I was born so I don't know too much about Sleepy Floyd but I heard he was decent. ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
You have to be crazy to consider Loy Vaught a bust. There were about 4 years that he was a double double threat every single night. He got injured after that and hasn't been the same since, but was a very solid player up until then. No way he's a bust. ------------------
I knew I shouldn't have posted that. Now I'm depressed. ------------------ "If a nuclear bomb dropped on earth, two things would survive: roaches and David Falk." -- Kevin McHale quote courtesy of Patricia Bender's website.
If it makes you feel any better Dunk I was born in 81 and I remember Sleepy Floyd...vaguely. ------------------ If you want it you got it, You just got to believe, Believe in yourself, Cause it's all just a game, We just want to be loved
