My last paragraph wasn't directed at you. Just thinking aloud. And the link to that website is blocked for me, so I hadn't read what they actually posted. Did they really say stuff like gather people in a corner??
wow, so there's this thing called the 'Beta uprising" that started on 4chan these 4chan psychos considered Elliot Rodger a hero
Yeah they did. And gave him other advice on how to inflict maximum casualties as well as just generally egging him on.

You're not in this debate yet you have the "solution" already. Allright. I won't argue with you about your already decided upon solution. You have the right to that argument. To me, the "Why" is important because if we just make assumptions about this horrible phenomena and look for quick fix solutions we are probably going to continue to have this happen. The "why" is important so that the "what we do next" is effective. So the question remains. Why were mass shootings like this not happening in the first 200+ years of our country? If hand guns caused this, why is it such a recent phenomena? Or if you prefer, why is it so much more prevelant?
link A shooter at a community college in western Oregon has killed at least two people and wounded several others. The suspect was killed by police in an exchange of gunfire on campus, the sheriff says. The exact number of casualties in the shooting at Umpqua Community College in the city of Roseburg is unclear. Douglas County Fire Marshal Ray Shoufler tells CNN that 11 people were transported to hospitals and that two of them have died. Oregon State Police Lt. Bill Fugate is quoted by KATU-TV in Portland as saying seven are dead and 20 wounded.
If we got rid of guns we are most likely not going to have mass shootings from happening. I think you are trying to make a problem more complicated and lengthy than it has to be.
So with your reasoning, him killing one person with a butter knife is the best alternative. If he gets lucky 2 more, but its ok bc it's not a "mass killing". So let's say these butter knife killings increase, should we then ban butter knives? After butter knives are banned, killings with bare hands increase.... should then ban hands?
Oh, my goodness. RIP to all the victims. This is why it is IMPERATIVE attractive women never to give ugly guys the time of day. They're creepy and do weird things on the internet. The internet has given a voice to too many people who were not meant to have a voice. No offense guys, but you all know it's true. Pair up 3-4 pretty girls to 1 hot guy if you have to - but never settle.
Anyone who thinks you could replace a gun with a butter knife and get the same fatal results isn't worth talking to
