I would guess there's a lot of resentment toward Harden even among star players, since most of them don't continue to find ways to improve their games every year even after they become stars.

I’m sure it was some players just saying they don’t like the calls he get and he took it as “NBA players DESPISE Harden!!!!” to sell a story.

I’m sure some players don’t like him but I bet a lot of players like him as well.

The sports media hates James Harden in the same way the political media hates Donald Trump, it's the same methodology for the same reasons. Michael Crichton was right though, the moment the topic becomes something they're not acutely aware of, and instead reliant upon the media for said information, they just become trusting of anything that reinforces of their negative perception.

So the media will constantly present their skewed narrative for consumption by those who hate Harden, who will continue to believe that Harden is some sort of cheater rigging the game, having their views confirmed by the media whom they will continue to consider are "just telling the truth" so long as it fits their pre-existing view.

Tell people his step back is a travel, and a small percentage that he messes up are, those are the ones we show on video, all of a sudden his step back is a travel. Rinse repeat, same cycle over and over.

This one is a travel, these ones aren't, the vast majority aren't travels but he occasionally messes up his rhythm (not unlike every player mind you), but that's not a story they would tell, it wouldn't fit their narrative.

We know they're deliberately overcritical of all the Rockets' fault, and James in particular, present skewed information and create a narrative rather than inform, but nah, they're just telling the truth about those other people.

 

And he's attached himself like a remora to Lebron's nether regions.
