Now the other hard working dogs can’t even win the dog shows, she/they are stealing all the ribbons!

totally ok and if they demand to goto a vet, and demand the vet treat them I’m sure the vet saying no would be discrimination from CF posters

Why do you guys care if people want to use different pronouns? It's not like they are forcing you to do it. And who cares what someone identifies as? I don't get why it occupies so much of people's mental space.

I thought we were all about freedom.

If you want to find weird sh$t on the web, you can always find it.

The nonsense that never stops though as of lately is you right wing nuts acting manic like the world is going to end because heaven forbid a segment of our population isn’t white, Christian, straight, with clean cut hair, and votes for democrats.

The fragility and insecurity is the real nonsense that never stops because the people you guys are voting into office are making it priority #1 to legislate your bigotry into law instead of just saying “that’s a bit weird and different but to each his own. I respect your personal freedoms because this is America.”

If you were a real conservative that’s what you’d say instead of trying to take away other peoples freedoms because you are too insecure to deal with it.

Yes there’s always people that act or dress extreme in some way or the other. In general it doesn’t affect most people’s lives directly.

Apparently it affects people because it is being "forced" upon them. They are being raped by internet content I guess?

you've obviously not spent any time in academia recently, as a student or staff member, nor in corporate America, where you can be fired for not using someone's preferred pronouns.

browse LinkedIn to see how prevalent this is.

Wait, so you are saying because you have to respect someone and call them by their preferred pronouns, it's forced upon you????

I'm sorry, but if my name is Jack, and someone insisted on calling me Steve, then yeah, they should be fired and not complain that my name is being forced upon them. That's just ridiculous. When did having basic respect for people in the workplace or school become "being forced" to do something?

All this complaining and fighting and pushing back is all because you can't call someone who identifies as a woman "her" but want to insist on insulting them by calling them a "he"

Lol, your right to be a dick isn't protected in the workplace, no.

PS - if your conclusion is that I "obviously" don't spend time in academia or in corporate America - then that's your issue for making ignorant and dumb assumptions about people because they don't buy into your bias. You want respectful debate, don't insult me after making a big fuss that you took a joke I made as an insult. I detest that kind of hypocrisy.

As long as they aren't harming people or animals, who gives a **** what people want to be known as? We can debate about transgendered people in athletics, I feel that's a legitimate topic (thread is quite active here), but if we want to waste our time arguing about not identifying people how they want to identify that's just stupid. If my direct report comes to my office tomorrow and asks me to start referring to him as her with a new name, them I'll just adjust. He wants to start dressing like a woman, then ****ing fine. We are all adults, why does things that don't really affect you are such a big deal?!?
