The hip check was overblown. Steve Nash braced his fall and hit some soft padding.
Then he faked like he was dead but popped up quickly.

If two teams are even in a 7 game series, which both of these teams were on talent, the coaching is the difference.

Can't argue with Pop being a better coach for many of those years than Mike.

No team has won the NBA finals jacking up all 3s and never calling time outs or making substitutions.

We had 5 points from the bench , or Austin Rivers that is.

Don't want to see Clint out there for that many minutes when he looks like he's got Ebola .

    Health is important.

It's strange how people can't put any responsibility for Mike D'Antoni and use the old, they missed shots.
Well in every game in the NBA since the first day, the team that loses missed shots.

Here's the hypocrisy of many here,

If this statement was made when Mike D'Antoni was coaching the Suns, Knicks, or Lakers.

The people here who claim he does make adjustments or think that Barkley's comment is blasphemous would AGREE with Barkley.

The only reason why people are getting worked up is that he's OUR COACH.

It's like when James was dating that Fat Kardasian. Oh no she's hot .
If it was James on OKC, yeah people here would be like he likes Fat Kardasians or Lamar's sloppy seconds.

Somebody pull up the numbers. PJ at the 5 was probably our worst performing lineup last game.

Lol. By posting the game stats I'm assuming you're saying "any lineup with Capela's statline Monday had to be the worst lineup"... and you're probably right lol

There really isnt a whole lot you can do in game, its like a gambler chasing their bet, you stick to the game plan for the game and see how it pans out, reevaluate after the game with the assistant coaches as well. Bzdelik is very bright, and we are lucky to have him. If you make significant changes in game I think players lose confidence in their coach and their strategy and won't execute and play as hard. It makes leadership look unstable and unsure of themselves.

you mean significant changes like letting some of your bench guys play for the dude who's sick?
    or calling a timeout ?

Who said significant changes? Adjustments aren't significant changes
it's a sub here, a time out here, or a new play here

True, but Morey has given D'Antoni more veteran and versatile depth this year, so we are seeing a deeper rotation on the court. We have more options to begin with, so I don't think its necessary to draw something completely new up. Harden has his bag of options, but we also have CP3 who can mix in some mid range. D House and Rivers are new options that can do something besides just shoot an assisted 3.

the bench score 5 points last night.
actually, it was just austin rivers that scored 5 points cause nobody else really played.

regular season is over. it's meaningless now.

Up 3-1 in the series w a chance to close it out tonight at home as an 8.5 point favorite, I'm good with the coaching thus far. Aside from Pop, there isnt a coach in the league I want going away from core strategy mid game. We could utilize time outs better though.

Look, i understand you are just saying this cause it's our coach.

but 5 points from the bench plus your starting center who's very ill playing is bad.
but he's our coach so.. it's good!

Hate Barkley but he is 100% right, MDA might be the worst adjustments coach in the league.

Reason why Rox always make big leads then blow it in the 2nd half is they dont have any plans when opponents start countering them. People always blame Harden for choking, but I always thought that was the coaches' job to put him in a situation to succeed which MDA isn't doing, as he admitted in an interview he doesn't even coach in the game just lets Harden do what he wants all the time (wtf).

Playing Capela long mins when he knew he had 2 viruses and was playing like ****...lol wow.

In game adjustments doesn't make you look unstable and unsure of yourself, having one game plan and not knowing how to make changes are what make you look unstable and unsure of yourself.

People always compare coaching to chess, they talk about strategies and counters all the time. Why would Pops be considered the GOAT coach if in game adjustments are bad? Why are coaches be given time outs and half time breaks if making lineup changes are bad? Capela sure was playing hard out there with the flu and virus, and I'm sure Nene and Harty will practice hard knowing Capela could be a dead man walking and they still won't get 1 min on the court.

MDA is a brilliant coach when it comes to making systems and getting everyone to enjoy playing bball. But if he can't adjust to what opponents are doing maybe its time we look at changing coaches. Harden's prime is only so long and there are tons of excellent coaches out there.

Is the goal to win a 1st round series or to win a ring? I can't believe you are actually arguing in game adjustments are bad, when the Rox missed like 10+ three points last year and lost by 9 were you good with the coaching then?

Rox only lost by 9 pts if they stopped jacking shots and tried something different there's a big chance they might have won the game.
