All series talk goes in here. Non series talk goes somewhere else. No PVP that can be found from other sources if you need it. All games are broadcast on Root Sports unless otherwise noted. 7-29 Collin McHugh, RHP vs. Matt Boyd, LHP 6:10 7-30 Mike Fiers, RHP vs. Justin Verlander, RHP 6:10 7-31 Dallas Keuchel, LHP vs. Mike Pelfrey, RHP 6:10
I think 2/3 is possible. Hopefully, K.C. plays with some sense of urgency (they really should be) and takes the series (3-1) vs Texas and affords us a 1.5 game gain.
I didn't realize that Detroit was East coast time. Learn something new everyday. Detroit has been playing well recently so this is a good series. I still expect the Stros to take the series though.
Tough matchup tonight. Boyd's overall numbers aren't good, but he's is left-handed and has posted a 1.17 ERA / 0.98 WHIP in July. McHugh pitched poorly vs DET in our April series, but was struggling at that time. Hopefully McHugh's surge continues and we get some good ABs. Looking for Bregman to execute tonight and Correa to turn the table against southpaws.

I thought it had already been announced that Tyler White had been recalled. I think it was assumed that the corresponding move was placing Fister on the paternity list, but I guess another move will need to be made when that comes around.
Still wish they moved Bregman up. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Here's how the <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Astros?src=hash">#Astros</a> will line up for the series opener in Detroit. <a href="https://t.co/CZlw71OAUA">pic.twitter.com/CZlw71OAUA</a></p>— Houston Astros (@astros) <a href="https://twitter.com/astros/status/759116336622546944">July 29, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
I'm presuming he had lots of scans that didn't reveal much of a tear in the tendon... thus their optimism... but if he's not able to push off or bear much weight after 2-3 days of rest, its going to be tricky. Now Gomez, OTOH... not much has been said about him. I know its addition by subtraction at this point, but with the way guys are starting to come up lame and limp around (which tends to happen as it warms up... and the season gets long), they need guys on the bench who can play the field.
Maybe you were thinking "soft tissue". That description covers nearly everything besides broken bones.
